The only guaranteed match-ups in Part 1 are Weavile vs Hawlucha, Tyranitar vs Pikachu, and Pikachu vs Metagross. There is another one that is supposed to happen, and that Alan loses that match-up, but we don't know if it's before Weavile or after.

Articuno has been seen once in Johto, once in Hoenn under the command of Norman, and Trevor had a photo of one in XY. That's 3 confirmed sightings in 3 regions.

Zapdos has appeared once in Johto, once in the Manaphy movie, twice in cameo appearances in Sinnoh, and twice in XY (once as a photo, once in the flesh). So that's six appearances across 4 regions.

Moltres has been seen in XY, Chronicles, and the original series once each. 3 confirmed sightings in 3 separate regions.

It's like transferring your mons up a gen; you can't do it until you've beaten the Champion and obtained the National Pokedex, but those mons are fine waiting for you until then. Then you can revisit old friends.

I see it as that they get to hang out with a large group of friends at a paradise, while being called in every so often to fuck bitches up with Ash.

Battle Frontier, Sinnoh, Ash even considered using his reserves for Kalos but decided otherwise.

It's not like he forgot about them, he just goes out to acquire new pals for them while calling on them when he needs them for a fight. Remember, a lot of Ashs Pokemon didn't do a whole lot before he captured them. If anything he brought them to a new and better home while teaching them to be strong.

And if they want to battle, the ranch is filled with strong Pokemon so there is always someone to fight/train with.

Anyway, there was another preview in Pokemon no Uchi, where Shota, Limone, and Citroid are eating together with Ash, Serena, Bonnie, and the others. Later, a fight between Chespin and Pancham breaks out and they go to the crowd and somehow only Chespin gets lost. Later, girl's night out with Serena, Bonnie, and Manon, the heroines of XY, while Ash talks to his Pokemon and later meets Lysandre. (With Shota, Clemont, Lysandre, and Clembot not there even with Chespin found, which is with Bonnie, here, I was assuming that Shota and Clemont and the others are doing their own separate thing from Ash and Serena, which I speculate and hope to be Shota battling Clemont) So Ash's Pokemon is there with him apparently when Lysandre talks to him if I'm getting this right.

Another preview is forthcoming tomorrow thursday in Oha Sutah probably.
