this is what is going to happen. this game is so basic and overly simple that it really relies on having an active community everywhere. there's so little to do in this game. when you dont even have any friends anymore to go hunt pokemon with, or if you dont have anybody to show your pokemon to or talk about things that happened to you because everybody stopped caring a long time ago, you'll get no enjoyment out of this game anymore.

the game is so shit in its own right that it literally only relies on the fact that a lot of people play it for nostalgia reasons. what the players made out of the game made it fun, otherwise the game would be boring as hell after 3 days. and niantic are doing literally everything they can to alienate their player base, and they effectively ruined a game that could have been incredibly big simply because theyre awful at their jobs. this game could have redefined gaming to a certain degree if it had been operated by more capable people.

I tried the other scanner first, but no-one here was able to help me resolve the issues I was having. Following the windows instructions to the letter, I kept getting an error saying it was unable to find the Flask module, which was most definitely installed, so I couldn't progress. The livemap scanner has you use your google account and centers it around your location, which you can't manually change and that sucks, but when it places you on the other side of the planet, it becomes useless.

I wasn't there when you asked, but I had the exact same flask error. Googled the issue and it seems one of the causes is having multiple Python versions installed. So I uninstalled Python, searched my entire computer for it (turned out I had Python 2.7 installed several times by various programs in the past) and then wiped every single thing it found. Reinstalled Python and it works now. It might not be the solution to your problem, but I'd give it a try.

I've noticed a pattern in my local spawn points, suspected there might be one since day one, but scanning gives me the means to test it. Seems there's an order in which they spawn Pokemon one after another, meaning each of them probably has a set time between two spawns.

Unfortunately, I wont be able to look into it during the next 24 hours, but after that I'll try to establish the parameters. Might be of use for anons with spawn points accessible from their homes and those that often spawn rare species.

I noticed this as well, in the case of a particular Dratini nest in my area they always, /always/ spawn and despawn at the same time relative to the hour, in the same locations. They've been the easiest to recognize patterns for as they don't cycle through other possible Pokemon.

However, the hourly intervals they seem to spawn in aren't entirely consistent. Sometimes they'll spawn back to back, other times with hours in-between. I'm interested to see if there's more to it than just random chance.

I've noticed several points that activate right one after another, down to the minute. I intend to scan a very small area around those points so I get shorter refresh intervals and keep close track of them for a few hours.
