I barely browse this general at all, but if you want complete shit, I recently dug up one that I read years ago. It's honestly one of the worst fics I have ever read, simply because it's so goddamn edgy and autistic, it's actually depressing to read. Have read it whole, as well as other stories by the author. Morphic is by itself no marvel and suffers from such issues as trying to spice up the basic premise too much; certainly though the ow-the-edgeness of it is memetically overexaggerated. It is also unfortunate enough to have garnered the wrong sort of periphery fandom, including quite the stalkers. I met one of the worst ones in person (internetically speaking, at least).

It was expected, but dreaded as it came and loathed after it passed. My miscalculation was that reader attachment to the protagonist POV made the message I wanted to communicate in that chapter obtuse enough that it was completely missed, judging by the three or four comments I've received. Even with the obvious hint.

Still chipping away at three specific stories. The first two are pretty straightforward, but slogging through a paragraph of exposition to get to what I really want to write is not, especially when I have distractions all around me.

The third one has a direction it wants to go in, but the romance and delicious character interaction takes place at least 5 years into the story so I've been writing all of that juicy stuff instead.

I still don't know if the first one will have romance, and right now I sorely hope it doesn't. Alas, often my loins dictate otherwise. They certainly weaseled their way into the initially romance-less plot of the second story.
