They just aren't easy to find, anon. There are only 6 in Generation 1, and Pikachu is the only "easy" one to find. Depending on where you live, though, it's not really easy at all. Jolteon is your best bet, since Eevees are abundant. Electabuzz is rare, and so is Voltorb.

So you get extra time if you use a Lucky Egg/Incense at 09:00 and at 09:29 you set the phone's clock at 09:00 again. I don't know if it's infinite tho.

There's no point in catching anything that isn't a eevee, growlithe, pidgey, rattata, or rare pokemon, and with the three step bug a major part of the game has been removed. Nah. I enjoy leveling up and finding better and better pokemon, and it's good that gyms can be beaten down rather than being insurmountable if the opposing team has enough people on it.

On the other hand, if they don't plan on adding more generations of pokemon eventually, I'll definitely stop playing. Of course, I want them to make the game less of a buggy pile of shit first, but once the game is properly running, they've gotta add more pokemon. Even if it does make genwunners quit, people need more variety than ratatas and pidgeys, even if it's just hoothoots and sentrets. This game with the full pokedex would be absolutely stellar.

Hell yeah. I have to give you this advice because I wish I had it back when I was where you are. If you want to be super competitive at gyms, you just can't yet. Unless you have badass higher level friends you wanna help protect gyms with, you're going to want to wait till at least level 17-18 before you start upgrading and seriously using mons for gym battles. Hold onto that stardust and focus on catching em all and grinding xp. Once you hit lvl 17 or so you'll start to see mons close to 1k randomly so save stardust for those. Hope this helps.
