Anyone know what's with that explosion in the tree on the left? I was at a pokéstop and it kept appearing in all my battles. There was a gym nearby but it wasn't being attacked.

I assume it's something they've temporarily disabled in order to lower the load on their servers.

Helping. Businesses that happen to be Pokestops are setting lures constantly to bring in customers, and it seems to be paying off for them. People are also holding meetups at places that have a lot of Pokestops and gyms (amusement parks, zoos, national parks, etc), and spending money there. I don't see how this could hurt the economy at all.

I've confirmed that you can teleport from central park in NY to a random place to Japan and back to NY in Lockito and Pokemon GO, so long as you wait at least ten minutes with both Lockito and PoGO closed both times.
