I like 4-5. I don't dislike 3, I just don't feel particularly strongly for them. 2 is mostly just disappointment, rather than dislike, although it is a mix.

How can you like it? Ash is finally getting a well-deserved league win but it's being wasted on generic shonenshit "cuhraaazy explosion battles xD" with the same strategy of "throw a bigger exploding Water Shuriken than the last battle." It's like the writers couldn't figure out a way to give him an actual victory without resorting to stupid shit like this.

And it's a shame, because Kalos was turning out great and I really wanted Adh to win once. It looked like it was finally happening. Be careful what you wish for, indeed.

1st gen: Sad the Bulba line is the least popular of the three. They're more progressive than "suddenly grows wings and cannons out of nowhere"

2nd gen: Least favorite starter batch. I do appreciate Typlosion taking the "badass" route, too bad it's design is generic as fuck.

3rd gen: Favorite starter batch and the batch I'm most nostalgic for. And Marshtomp being my favorite starter NFE of all time

4th gen: The most effective starter batch in final stages. To bad Infernape's pre evos are badly designed.

5th gen: Final evo designs are solid even if Emboar repeats Fire/Fighting trend. Oshawott line are fantastic with the samurai concept applied on sea mammals. Dewott would've been rated higher if it wasn't a poor middleground of it's the evo line.

6th gen: Meh batch. Feels like the "furry pandering" gen of starters. Greninja is amazing though despite it's Charizard-tier popularity.

Ash Greninja should stay away from the main series games. Its design is Deviantart tier.

The blue around the eyes makes Monferno. Infernape's gold "armor" doesn't look good and the head being on fire instead of the tail is inconsistent.
