I feel like this could've been better as a "like/neutral/dislike" scale of 1-3. 1-5 feels too variable in terms of interpretation. 3 is average for some people while 4 is average for others.

Being closer to the original animal doesn't make it less ugly. It sucks, because stats/ability wise I think he's among the more unique Megas, like Zard X or Pidgeot.

getting fat, throwing a bunch of paint on it, and giving it cannon arms is literally the basis of people calling new Pokemon megas. none of those are positives. That's how I used to joke about the green digimon that digivolves into "larger green digimon wearing pants holding two guns"

Can someone explain why people are giving Mega latios and mega Latias different ratings? They're the exact same design with different color eyes. Do the eyes make that much of a difference to you people?

I really dig Mega Obongo. He has this very intimidating stance that I think vanilla was missing. It has good mixed potential, with moves from Giga Drain to EQ. Throw in his good surprise potential in VGC (Those Blizzards bruv, umph) and you have a solid Mega Pokemon. A shame his typing does no defensive favors. Spore immunity is good I guess.

I might conclude this now. 16 people voted and that give a pretty clear opinion on megas. I expected way worse.

That's definitely a part of it. I personally don't like the design. Wide hips, weird legs and paws, mouth on the snout and simple ears. The only thing I like are the steel spikes, but many people don't like those either.
