I was thinking about gaining CP from trainer battles and I don't think it'd work. Teams would meet up and win trade to beef up a set of pokemon and dump on the gym, it'd be abused like crazy. If they made it so you only gained CP from opposing team members then win trading would be rampant. I'm not really sure how to handle rewards from battles

I think that Go will continue to be fleshed out as more versions and gens are released. It will probably become similar to the main games while still sticking to its mobile thing. I'm not really into the games, so take this with a grain of salt, but I've been told that huge changes are coming this December with the release of second gen Pokemon or some shit.

Honestly I'm not sure why they couldn't just use the same game mechanics that they did for, say, GSC versions. I really dislike having all stats combined in to one CP stat, not being able to actually battle other trainers or wild pokemon, and how stronger pokemon appear to stronger trainers. It takes very much of the depth and individuality out of the whole experience, IMO.

I doubt itd show other players on your map, thatd just get cloggy. I bet its gonna be something like a local GTS where you can enter a lobby of trainers within some number of miles to trade and maybe even battle

Pokemon Go is far more popular than "mainline" Pokemon games, of course it's gonna get more attention

They could have a system where you bet amounts of stardust on you winning , kinda like money in games. There is still the secondary gates of candy qnd player level to keep people from abusing it.
