Honestly, there's no reason not to fight gyms. I'm in an area dominated by Valor and Mystics, as an Instinct. I also just turned level eight today. There's no real repercussion for losing to gyms and it's not hard to beat a gym with a pokemon with less than 1K cp.

Sure, you might waste time but half the fun is the social interaction. You can talk shit to or with the enemy fighting against you if you're not sperging out. Go make friends.

Anyone has this REALLY ANNOYING bug? Since 3 days EVERY.SINGLE.POKEMON has 3 steps. No matter how close they are even if they are just ON ME. And it' not just a small bug or whatever, it's really EVERY SINGLE ONE. I tried to manage without this and just with the grid (which look like it does pretty much whatever it wants too but at least it's still more reliable than the steps) but, well. And it's been 3 days, constantly.

Walking around my village I get one pokemon maybe every 5 mins. I went to the local supermarket and had pokemon lined up waiting to be caught, albeit they were shitmons but whatever.
There wasnt even a pokestop nearby or anything yet it was crawling with pokes. Does the game somehow register densely populated areas? As far as the game was concerned that supermarket wasnt there, it didnt even show up on the radar. Maybe more stuff spawns where more people with the app open are ?

If it was random a pokemon could be on Area 51 or a cliff, for all we know. They'll probably find a way but pure randomness isn't going to cut it.

Has anybody ever had this issue where a Pokeball... rolled away from you? after catching a Pokemon.

The only gym within 5miles has been owned by this same kid with a 750CP Pidgeot for the last 3 days.
I can't even get anything above 400CP to take him down and i'm level 12.
There is literally no good mons out here either, and getting to this level has been such a struggle with all these server issues.
Is the only good way to get rare and high CP pokes to pop a lure at a pokestop ?
Mine is at a pub and I feel like an autist sitting there drinking alone.
