Did I ever say nuclear burning is the same as fire? No, I said that burning in Pokemon is equated to fire, i.e. anything involving burns is of the Fire type. You could argue Poison would be a better fit, but that's not how it has been designed.

the point of the thread to mock the design choices of pokemon and i was trying to put some sense into those choices. i don't even play pokemon, i came here by chance, as for drought, burning forests renders the ground unable to hold water, so it just washes away. it's not as prominent as drought due to heat from the sun except from some "rare" cases of arson to use the landpiece for illegitimate buildings, but you wouldn't know any of that in a decent country, but it's still there.
