So does the incense draw pokemon toward you, or just spawn them on you? It really seems like they just spawn on you.

Each pokemon has 2 moves
A regular attack
A special attack

Battles consist of you facing your opponent and tapping to attack.

Tapping once makes you do a regular attack
Holding your finger ontop of your pokemon preforms your special

Each special has 1-5 bars. The more bars it has the smaller they are and the easier they are to charge, but the less damage the move does.

During the battle you can swipe left or right to dodge your opponent's attacks.

This is the extent of my limited knowledge. Supposedly different special moves also can "effect" pokemon in certain ways IE poison etc but I am not 100% sure on that.

My roommate and I are going around catching stuff. It appears we all have the exact same layout. Is there any way that we influence eachother? Will bearing a gym have any influence on others who go there?

I managed to play for an hour or so before I started a night shift tonight. Walked around a bit before a storm came.

After I was done working, I ended up walking through a nice chunk of my town picking up as many PokeStops along the way and seeing which ones give the most items for each visit. Managed to hit Lv5 along the way and take 2 Gyms on the walk home.

I haven't invested any dust or candies into any of my Mons yet, since it's only Day 1 and I still have all day tomorrow to play.

I hope there's at least SOMEONE in my town that will be a different Team so I can have some friendly Pokemans competition. And I also hope all you anons have fun with Pokemon Go!

One thing that is interesting are the things that they pick for Pokespots. They vary from buildings like churches, to little stone plaques at the side of the road, to a flag pole in a mobile home park. Hopefully more pokemon come soon.

Girlfriend and I went for a 60 minute drive, used 2 incense. Probably caught 40-50 Pokemon each. It was late, I drove really slow, stopped frequently. Crazy amount of poke balls. All of the gyms in my city are claimed, I couldn't figure out the combat system. Their Pokemon wasn't attacking back, and mine wasn't doing any damage when I attacked. I think it was a glitch. I swear people are going to start crashing their cars. Cars are the only way to win at this.

You want to aim for the colored circle being AS CLOSE to the white circle edge as possible when tossing the ball. Once you toss the ball, it freezes, so you don't need to think about timing the throw for it lining up after it hits the Pokemon.

Getting it on the edge or very close will result in a better catch rate, more EXP for the catch too.
