Trainers can fight the Gyms in any order. The only reason Ash fights the Gyms in the same order as the games is because he's the main character and the show is structured that way.

Most other trainers we see in the anime do the Gyms in random order, not to mention the anime-only Gyms that seem to exist.

I'm watching through early DP again and why are there so many Marina references, the girl from Gold/Silver? She's brought up in the episode Dawn got her watch and they show her on screen, and then in another episode Zoey puts out her laptop and we see Marina doing an appeal with her Feraligatr. The anime has like 1000 character designs from all the filler characters, movie characters, etc. Of course similar hairstyles and features would be shared among characters. They've had to have designed nearly 1000 male and female characters in the anime by now.

I know it's the middle of another shitposting marathon, but I don't really have a better time to ask.

A quick breakdown of the last two weeks? Not much really, last episode was filler, the one prior was sort of filler with the gang meeting up with Goodra again, the thing of interest was that Alan defeated Korrina and won a badge. Next episode the league begins and the Mega Charizards(Alan's and Trevor's) will duke it out, will some random guy with a Furfrou will challenge Ash prior his league battle against some guy with an Altaria.

My suspicion is that the Furfrou guy is an undercover TF agent.

Not much action waifu there. I associate action girls with /fit/ antics. The jumping-for-Eevee-in-the-meadow remains my favorite action waifu moment, and even that was surpassed by Bonnie in the Tyrunt episode. And even that was surpassed by quite a few Dawn moments. I hope Luna/Selene's action girl moments eclipse them all.

Dawn was designed to be a lesbian. The only reason Appealshipping didn't become as blatant as Contestshipping was because it was a same sex ship and the writers had to be subtle with it.

Zoey's entire design was basically made to look like a tomboyish lesbian. Zoey/Dawn were based on the designs from the Dirty Pair anime, which featured two lead females who were lesbians.

Her flight had more to do with Pokemon abilities than her own /fit/ abilities. The tackling was based, though. We need more of that.

I want them to differentiate Luna/Selene enough from May to make her her own character. I love that kind of personality set up with May, but personalities can be similar without being copy/pasted. If you insist on action girl antics being an Iris trait, then yes, I'll give you that, but she's far from the only girl to have those /fit/ qualities (quite a few female CotDs had them. I miss quality female CotDs).
