At this point, I think I'm still playing the games based on nostalgia. The stories aren't good. The writing at best is equal to shitty anime dialogue. But there's just something about discovering new pokemon that keeps me excited and coming back for more.

And then there's the ability to relive the older games I played when i was younger in updated graphics and gameplay through remakes. I don't really care about competitive battling.
