-Ash: boring, typical, clieche shonnen main character. Pro though he had more personality than BW's.
- Serena: personally, she's the least interesting main female character in the anime to me.
- kalos queen... Sexist, and the boring version of contest
- little to no tension. TRio is 95% of what causes it, and...
- TRio is just pretty annoying this series probably the most out of any. Appear in the majority of the episodes and sometimes there's no rhyme or reason.

I have several problems with XY. Horrible late into the series and rushed goal for Serena, hardly any Noibat development but Eevee gets it all once captured? That was major......, Goodra getting released and no sixth slot in sight, Alain the Gary Stu, Bonnie episodes and her "gag". Not to mention the worst rivalry ever with Sawyer, nobody cares about it.
