There's still no 100 concrete proof that it does have Protean as it's ability, but the evidence we do have points towards that conclusion.

The main proof is the gym match against Ramos, where it just stood there and tanked hit after hit from Gogoat's Razor Leaf. At the time it was using Aerial Ace which would mean it would be a Flying type and would resist the damage from it.
