You are correct about roiding your team, and be sure to give Fennekin Heat Wave by Hawlucha (costs 10,000). My advice would be to buy Proteins and Calciums first, then buy Irons and Zincs. The way I saw it, Dialga didn't really notice or care about paying back until they noticed that the partner's despair over losing the MC almost reached an event horizon. I guess Dialga's kind of a selfish jerk like that. Can't really say much about the special episodes since I still haven't played Sky.

Still a better ending than Super because it didn't violently offend me by revealing a surprise twist that only opened up more plot holes, pushed a flat character as a round character and told me how much the MC liked the partner only using text, reminded me that the partner is just a premade character especially built to be your best friend thanks to that reincarnation faggotry, and then made the partner disappear (and eventually reappear) for vague half-baked reasons. The farewell and reunion only look good if you completely ignore how they tie in with the rest of the story, because otherwise they're just cool-looking scenes with no substance.

Felt like the ending (and the parts just before it) and especially the epilogue felt like the game was saying 'Hey, this is you. We have decided that you really, really like the partner. You would even potentially risk Dark Matter coming back just to see the partner again., but pushing traits like that on what was supposed to be a player stand-in makes him not work as a stand-in, especially if the player themselves didn't like the partner very much. In the other games, the partner breaking down about you leaving shows that you had an effect on them, and that they valued your friendship with them. Whether you like the partner or not doesn't matter, because they liked you.

With Super, it entirely depends on whether you liked the partner or not. If you did, then the ending might affect you, until you stop and realize the numerous holes that it poked in the story. If you didn't... then the ending falls flat entirely.

Enemies will drop treasure boxes eventually, one might have an item called the Eevee Tail or Eevee Card. Sadly i think the eevee items only affect eevee, and swapping Eevee Tail/Card gives Evolve Charm, and if you swap all 3 of them, you can get an item for Espeon/Umbreon..

There are items that affect the entire type, like that Ground Dust. Type Dust comes from random ??? reward missions, and can be paired with "silk" of a certain type, usually found in locked chambers in dungeons or the very end.

Might be biased but Wooper for sure is a great partner. Amazing IQ skills, immune to Water, disables all explosions, all that stuff. If you mean partners you don't have to rom edit for, Skitty's good but i still recommend wooper due to the fact it's recruitable in the 4th dungeon

I've only played through the game once with Snivy and Fennekin. Fennekin is a fucking domination station for a long time because they have ember and psybeam, two long range attacks. Snivy is kind of bad for most of the story, at least in comparison, but right near the post game stuff I was getting some nice attacks. Mega Drain is also very nice, but I don't remember when I got that.

Drifblim has far and away the BEST ability in the entire game, Unburden. Unburden makes you attack twice in one turn, using 1PP, without a hold item.

Drifblim gets Ominous Wind and Minimize. If you have a team of 4, that's EIGHT chances it has to boost its stats with 1PP. Minimize ups evasion twice. Simply put, it has double the offensive capabilities of every other pokemon in the game, surpassing literally everything else

Adding onto this, Drifblim is in one of the best IQ families. It can step on traps without tripping them, it can see the map, it can attack twice in one turn which might equal FOUR normal attacks at once.

There's nothing Drifblim isn't good at. Rayquaza? Darkrai? Mewtwo? No, Drifblim is THE best pokemon at everything that doesn't involve buffing the team up, Jirachi's the best at that. It's even the best around for ZIS
