Fucking Psuedo random. I know I was more than likely goin to fail before reaching Mewtwo but I still fucking mad.

I need a more versatile team. I'm sure it'll have a Ground mon, because while being the only SE for electric (which will be crucial for Ampharos) they're also SE against so many other types, but I can't get a good spread on the rest. Dark are annoying but Fairy is the worst, only two types SE and poison is pretty much useless otherwise, and and steel is mostly rendered useless if I include ground.

Y'all wasting time and hearts on survival when you could just do what's been shown to work and grind back up to max coins in the same amount of time. You're gonna need to check in for your comp rewards on Tuesday, might as well get survival over with quickly for the double rewards.

Blaziken and Mewtwo are only good because of Pyre and Pummel. Grass and Water don't have those abilities. I've literally never once used M-Swampert, and hopefully the fact that Blaziken and Swampert have Hitting Streak while Sceptile is different means it will have a different mega ability too.

It's not that Blastoise is good, because it mostly isn't. It's that Swampert is fairly bad and doesn't get redeemed by being the only source of 80BP damage in the type (Mewtwo X), in a type with a diverse array of offensive/defensive options (Blaziken), or in a type that has a damage booster for time-based stages (either of the above.)

Pretty much any time you'd bother using a Water mega, you could also just use Garchomp or Glalie or Lucario.

Fully fed fug is a little bit slower than unfed Blaziken/Swampert (12) and a little bit faster than fed Garchomp/unfed Lucario (14). You can probably expect it to evolve 1-2 turns later than Gengar depending on the board.

Shame that the best Flap users sit at measily 80AP when maxed.

Can confirm anon's strategy for survival (m-gengar, genesect, giratina, and darkrai) works, but not as well as I would have been comfortable with. Ended up beating mega mewtwo y with 1 move left, but it does seem like I got worse stage luck (had to face Togekiss as well as Bronzong). Anyway, I highly suggest you attempt to complete survival before we have to update on Tuesday and lose the double rewards.

Grass. Shaymin and Virizion are fine, but the issue is that that's basically all Grass has.

Fighting has Gallade and Machamp to deal with some disruptions, and Fire can deal with literally every disruption except rocks. The best Grass can do is maybe hopefully try to prevent them with repeated Sleep Charms, which isn't reliable, or field Roserade with lolstabilize. And on an open board, it gets hurt by the total lack of 80BPs -- Fire has a shitload, again, and even Water at least has Palkia (and now Lv15 Blastoise/Kyogre.) Grass only has Lv15 Venusaur, which is probably the single worst candidate for RML candy that's still on a game box.

It's not that I specifically use them to level up my Pokemon, more of a "knock two birds with one stone" kind of thing. It's just that I haven't had the chance to focus on some of my low level mons in favor off trying to catch up on main stages. Since Beedrill is eventually getting a Mega, I just basically told myself "why not just bring it for a bit of XP? M-Gengar combos will be enough to clear the stages."

The only difference between MMY, M-Banette and M-Fug are the matches required to mega and what other Pokémon you can bring. Which mostly boils down to Mega Boost (i.e. none for Fug) and Quirky ones, since other abilities either do nothing or work against you. Fug was never good for this, but Sceptile should obsolete everything else here as well.

I've had some success with Blaziken, but it seems less reliable in the long run than the former group.

Finally there's M-Gengar, which is more predictable/less random than the others and should still remain a somewhat viable option.

70BP with Pixie Power would be amazing. Or if they wanted it to be 60BP only (as it is) they could have given it sth more interesting that Fairies are lacking, for example Block Smash+ or Eject+. Now it's literally Togekiss #2 and therefore useless, we've had Togekiss since the beginning so anyone who cares for the ability will have it leveled up already. And what's more, Togekiss's icon stands out more when it comes to timed stages, so Clefable comes second to it in all categories. At least it's cuter...

Okay, can someone check if they've tinkered with the rate for Crowd Control? I've brought Clefairy with me while searching for Pikachu and had several 4 matches that didn't trigger (and some that did) and just now I had a 5 match that didn't trigger... It was in Deerling's stage, and some of the Clefairies were covered by barriers if that matters at all.

I'll be seriously pissed if they lowered the rate for 4 and 5 matches...
