I haven't received an invite yet so I'm also curious.

I think character development is the biggest thing for me, since it makes them memorable. Wally is an example of that, and he's also my favorite. I like his Victory Road fight in both RSE and ORAS.

The only rival who ever pushed me to my limits was Barry, and that's because I forgot to heal pretty often when I was 10, so I don't like to use that as criteria when talking about rivals.

Silver was probably my favorite. Felt like an actual rival and a real threat. Plus, he undergoes some really good character development, relatively speaking for a Pokemon game.

I've never had friends readily available to trade with until recently nor money to buy a second system to trade with myself whether it was GBC, GBA or Any DS family member.

The closest I came was in my Diamond game. Constant Emerald and Leafgreen transferring. Endlessly exploiting the duplication glitch for no losses. Never had I put so much effort into a game in this series. I had around 30 pokemon or so left in my pokedex to get but I stopped caring cuz all the new shit started coming out and I began moving on. I even left it the way it is. But now I do have the resources to completely complete it. I ought go back and finish the job. See my old army of mons. They have some deep history with me. Ought to recreate and bank a number of them. Gonna dig up that shit right now.

If you want an event distribution, do the same as above and:

Use a pokemon caught with your trainer name as the OT so I can find you in the acquaintances. Event pokemon can not be traded on GTS so this is the fastest way to do it.
