I actually have thought of what Pokemon would make good bosses in a Zelda game. Quick run-down:

Galvantula. Similar to OoT Gohma, travels along walls and ceilings. Creates webs that electrify you if you step into them. Also shoots Electro Balls and slows your movement with Stringshot. When you get close it uses Discharge. It slowly follows you, so the trick is to lead it into its own webs and attack the webs with a torch or Fire Arrow.

Garchomp. The arena is an underground chamber filled with sand. As soon as the battle starts it uses Sandstorm to make it harder to see. Garchomp ‘swims’ below you, through the sand and jumps out and slashes at you before sinking back in. It does this about 3 times before rising to the surface. It uses Sand Tomb as a projectile attack, and uses Slash for close-combat. Occasionaly it will jump away and begin powering up it’s deadly Dragon Rush. Here is your chance to hit it with the Ice Arrow. If you miss, it’ll rush at you at blinding speed and do insane damage. If you hit, it’ll freeze and you can go ham at it. Then it sinks back into the ground to repeat the process 2 more times.

Toxicroak. The arena is a tall run-down building covered in mud and vines. There are two floors, you can access the top one by just climbing the vine wall or hookshotting up there, but there is only a small platform to stand up on. The bottom floor is just a normal arena. It jumps from wall to wall and shoots Sludge Bombs at you which create a pool of poison if they hit the floor, like Twinrova’s attacks from OoT. Highly acrobatic and difficult to hit. Also shoots a flurry of Poison Stings, jumps down at you with Poison Jab. Laughs hysterically the whole time. If you can manage to shoot it with an arrow as its jumping from wall to wall, it will drop down to the muddy ground. Then you must user your Sand Rod to raise it up halfway to the second floor. It will be dazed and expose its weak spot as it lays fainted- its throat. Then you must quickly make your way to the second floor and jump down to it using your down thrust attack. Rinse and repeat.

Hoopa Unbound. Uses its rings to summon attacks from other legendaries, such as Regigigas’s Crush Grip, Ho-Oh’s Sacred Fire etc (think Bayonetta’s summons). Teleports you from battlefield to battlefield, each with a different layout. It also jumps through its portals to strike you from behind, and its Hyperspace Fury is impossible to block and exremely powerful. The trick is to jump through one of its rings as its charging its Hyperspace Fury to teleport behind him and strike him from behind.

Favourite usually first, then if I do other playthroughs I'll use the others. For example, I'm using Popplio in my first playthrough (Moon) and then Litten for my first Sun playthrough when I eventually get it. Then I'll get Rowlet for the next Sun play through.

Seriously? Pokemon is extremely easy, don't grind and skip as much trainers as possible if you don't want to be bored to death.

i remember beating the E4 without grinding or even using items in-battle
