are you kidding me? that typing is useless offensively, hitting one type for SE damage in total, it lacks enough bulk for what its speed and ability dictate it should, and has no reliable recovery at all. Thing is not abysmally bad, but it's still bad.

Drampa has access to Roost, baby boo.
It's not the pinnacle of design, but its got extremely good SpAtk, decent movepool to back it up in Hurricane, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, Draco, access to Recovery with passable 78/85/91, and utility with Defog. It can also use Calm Mind which compliments its setup pretty nicely, and having Cloud Nine is a handy ability.
I mean yeah its not gonna be meta defining, but that setup really isnt that shitty by any means.

As if S/M massive failings weren't enough, this whole Pokebank debacle to add upon that means the fanbase is hemorrhaging at a rapid rate. Pretty soon, the Pokemon fandom will be like bronies - a sad group of decrepit autists that cling onto a dying franchise that quickly lost so much popularity that it doesn't even draw in the lil' chilluns anymore.

I personally think those such as Mewtwo and the weather trio are one of a kind, but those such as Lugia, the birds, and Mew have multiple of the same species.

Mew should be one of a kind, I'm pretty sure.
Otherwise, depends on the Pokemon. Heatran are fairly numerous, and I think the dex says stuff like an Entei being born every time a volcano erupts. There's obviously more than one Phione as well, if you count her.

I miss when the games had mysterious areas to them, and everyone came up with and tried out rumors to give them purpose, like the S.S. Anne truck, or the locked door in Mossdeep or pic related (even if the last two actually did have purposes in the Japanese version that got dummied out in the international version). Altering Cave already fucked with me the most because it has music not used anywhere else in Emerald, made it seem special even if said music is pretty common in FRLG.
Let's have a thread about this type of thing. What little inconsequential areas piqued your interest in the earlier Gens? What rumors did you hear during recess that you fell for and tried replicating?

Pokemon died after Gen 5. Only Gen 1 through 5 are quality games. Starting with XY everything went shit because of the change to 3D.
In 2D, small areas were easier to make and were also more fun to explore. The 2D left more room for your imagination to flesh out the areas and bring them to life. In 3D, you cant do that anymore and the developers know it. Thats why 3D games lost the ability of feel real.
In life, we reflect on the past and improve ourselves. Why can't the same be said for the Pokemon anime? No excuse to go backwards after the god tier XY saga.
