This is true and it's emphasized in Break Record. Break Record spoilers ahead.

In Break Record they end up having to fight the Triangulum against Miyako's orders because of incompetence on her end. In fact, the incompetence causes Makoto to resort to stepping out of line and taking charge over Miyako's orders several times to give some Yamato-style orders that she learned from him. Makoto becomes rather attached to Miyako and wants to help her based on what she's learned from Yamato.

Unlike Yamato, Miyako won't admit her subordinates suck and refuses to let the group fight the Triangulum. She uses the excuse "because you're civilians" but it's because she knows they'd eventually find out that she's up to something, which they do without being even a day there. She only keeps them around so she can sacrifice them for her plan later, and thanks to Alcor being a huge faggot retard, she fully knows who they are.

When they go on the run from Miyako and get Yamato back, shit starts running smoothly. He even continues leading the group when she joins you despite her not stepping down from JP's because he's simply a stronger leader.

It's amusing to see people who haven't played the game praise Miyako for things she's worse at than Yamato, or hate him for traits he doesn't have but she does. I'd say it's deliberate if I didn't know that waifufags are prone to that kind of stupidity.

I'm playing Nocturne for the first time and it's a really great game. I fill a bit overwhelmed sometimes as it feels like there's almost no rest from combat but I'm glad I finally got around to playing it.

I'll be playing the Digital Devil Saga and Raidou games afterwards, in release order of course. Are they just as good?

Nocturne is a really good game, but I love character interaction. DDS has game play like Nocturne and the best Megaten cast out of any other game. And yeah, the soundtrack is wonderful. Something you should probably be warned about is DDS 1 and 2 do not stand on their own. They are more like one super long game.

The best character isn't introduced until the second game.

I think my main concern with Nocturne so far is the lack of character interaction to be honest. I think that's why the constant combat felt a bit overwhelming, because there wasn't much inbetween.

That said I'm really enjoying it, I spoke to Gozu-Tennoh last time I played and I'm about to boot it up again.
