In some ways that's how it should be, but it also may be because they're trying to disconnect all ties with Arc V.

Though honestly it's strange that Vrains has no real reason to be about Yugioh; the focus of the plot is in no way related to card games. It's all about hacking and conspiracies and terrorism, cards and dueling is just the medium used for conflict, not the driving force of the show.

What the fuck does Arc-v have to do with this? it's disconnecting from Ygo as a whole because there are no schools for dueling like GX, there are no political and business deals through dueling like in 5Ds and there's no massive grand championships and spirtiual connection to their cards like with Duel monsters and Zexal, Vrains as it is now hould not be a YGO series, it should be it's own thing because it's not selling cards at all and none of the characters are spouting off lines like "My pride as a duelist!" and "My card cards are not trash!" and " You don't deserve to call yourself a duelist!" in Vrains, they aren't even doing those ridiculous hand movements, poses and chants anymore and when they scream in pain it's because it actually fucking hurts to get attacked by damage there rather than the characters being affected by shadow games and hamming it up.

DM was certainly brooding and malodramatic, and GX was on the mostpart batshit crazy, but the duels were still much slower paced. 5ds kickstarted the constant need for movement and action and the grandiose environments and the 'waga tamashii' meme. Lithosagym isn't broken either, nor is the Lithosagym + babies play, especially if Diagram goes to 0, which it should.
The Denglong and Oviraptor are the only things that deserve to be hit. Denglong being 2 free omni negates OR a VFD for a generic level 5 Synchro is retarded.

I hope they don't hit Oviraptor, or they just semi-limit him if they do (would still hurt), but there is no question he is the best card in the maindeck. I think Dinos would be powerful but fair without Denglong, but I may be biased because I love dinos.

It doesn't work with an Invoker engine because B.E.S' key cards lock off Normal Summons, which really hurts their utility. You could try using a Windwitch engine since they Special Summon from the hand and you can still get out Tetran with the WIND lock. If you're using Links you can probably get out something average, but you'll need as much draw power as you can get to make the recycling work.

Because of playing for 5 years, I know how most decks work and their main playmakers/plays. Stuff like Zoo and Ritual Beasts where they do a lot of gimmicky shit off one card still confuse the hell out of me however. This means that It doesn't take long to make a deck, but it does take a little bit to really make it good. I would say about 30 minutes to make it, about an hour to make adjustments.

If a core is already there, dump it in and add in standard staples and fuck with techs/ratios.
If not, dump in all archetype/theme cards at three, fight weak ai, tweak ratios and remove cards, then swap to adding in outside engines and which ones have the best consistency/power ratio.
