The whole south of my town is pretty weak. there are some villagers in the southwest but their placements are so that I can't really plant trees behind them and it feels so barren to me. I really wanna rework it somehow but I'm stuck.

The one part I like is the forest where I put the campsite but I didn't really count that because it's a peninsula that goes up. And then Patty moved smack dab into my clover path there.

Yeah, my town never really feels that big to me. But I kind of just leave it natural, I like the idea of just a small foresty village with lots of trees and no paths. Nobody really chose bad places to build except Carmen when she plopped her house right in front of a bridge which meant I had to dismantle and rebuild it a space away/
I put my campsite right next to the town hall because in my mind, they'll meet more villagers that way and if they need anything, I and Isabelle are closeby.

Is Happy Home Designer worth buying?

There's certainly a lot less content in comparison to ACNL but in spite of that, I'd say it is. It's a fun, cute game limited only by what you haven't unlocked and your own creativity. The UI and camerawork is much better and you have way more space for custom design slots. It's a 20 dollar game of house with animal friends, you can't go wrong.
I'd like it if there was more to do but it's enjoyable and fun for what it is.

Tried managing two towns concurrently. I found myself neglecting my old town entirely. Started as maybe once every 2 days, but now it has been six days since I last checked in, and I don't think I even care.

Is this wrong? Should I feel bad for leaving my mayorship in one town for another? Are my villagers missing me? Does Isabelle even care?

Sun-fag here, my first pokemon since emerald on GBA. Fucking hated all the story crap in the beginning, but once I got past the first island and I could actually explore a bit it got way better. My only REAL complaint is the god-awful rival. Why is he such a pushover? Is he hiding his powerlevel? Its hard to be motivated when he sucks this hard.

Sun/Moon's first island is shit. Once I got past that and started treating it like it was my own anime arc, it got better. I'm one of the rare people that hated how pathetic Lillie was, but at least she gets better. I've beaten the game, and it left me with a huge smile on my face. It's not a perfect game, but I think it all pays off.

It's honestly disgusting and lowered my opinions of Sun/Moon immediately.

In the first 45 minutes of gameplay a minimum of 20 of it is cutscenes and slow sequences showing your character walking somewhere instead of letting you do it yourself.

Also, the bottom screen has blinking Rotom eyes for the entire game. Very distracting.

I can see why everyone uses night time for their dream addresses.

It makes the paths actually look good. In the daytime they're only good in screenshots and look real bad in movement or over the 'log' a bit, but without that light they're all groovy.

The outsides are usually really crowded and full of flower mazes and 1-wide paths that snake everywhere, then the houses are just a shitload of items with a tiny space between them that let you pass into the other rooms.

Right now, because I took so much of my town and deleted it to redesign the space, it does look a bit young.

Part of my frustration with my old town is that the paths were too linear, all at right angles, and it felt like a labyrinth to just get from my house to the train station.

I've fixed that because every single path has been widened and made into soft curves. They'll still be lined with bushes to railroad people and keep them off the flowers (not that I really have visitors) but won't force sudden turns.

Now that it's September, is it safe for me to run around holding my net at night?
