Alright lads, r8 this shitty plan.
As I have 2 million manpower reserves and I'm not using them on roads, forts, or irrigation shit, I'm planning the greatest raid in the history of the world
Green circles are client states; all are stable and will spit out 20k armies if not more once war's declared.
First I march through a crowned republic Turkish Empire and a growing Cilicia I spit out a while ago that's recently been taking small amounts of land from the Turks. Both have no alliances; cakewalk
Then I move through a Persia-Banu Rassi Alliance. Both have ten levels of Mil tech below me, so my main problem here should be attrition in the deserts.
Then I move through Delhi and Gujarat. Them and a small Indian minor are allied to one another, and Delhi's the third highest army and reserves behind me and China. However, they are 12 tech behind me, so I should be able to push through.
Then I move to to the rest of India; they are not really united with only Vijayanagar having the strength to put up a fight, however one sided it might be.
Hantawaddy is my last country on the list not a tributary of China. Again, their Jungles will be the worst I'll encounter there.
Then it's on to China. Their max manpower reserves are 200k below mine, and they currently sit at 388k reserves to my 2065k. However, they do have 400k troops, and I sit at 100k. Their mil tech is only a 4 levels behind mine.
The goal will be a slow push, and eventually occupying every last Chinese province; their capital has 205 urban pop, 40 above Rome. If I capture it and kill off 400,000 souls, Rome will be the biggest city in the world.
I'll end with a trip to Korea as they are fat and developed like China.
All in all, I'll end up looting the Middle East, Iran, Eastern Anatolia, Pakistan, India, Burma, China, and Korea. If my wars occupying the rest of Europ has taught me anything, I could end up looting 100k easy.

Rape anon, have you thought about going full modular with the way you construct the mod? For Workshop users you could include everything and gear it specifically for vanilla (or Plus if that's your preferred), but make a large modular base for users who download it elsewhere. If compatibility with other mods is most of what's making you reconsider certain features then the base can be the fully compatible basic chain of events without any other content, then other systems (like CBs, added traits, etc.) which might be incompatible with other mods can be separated out into other modules which can be activated or deactivated by the end user.

The full Spanish Netherlands has finally been acquired through my vassal, Holland. It'll take them some time to integrate everything, but I suspect they'll be stable within 20 years, even with the religious differences of the Brabantic provinces they've absorbed. The next war against Naples has come, but aggressive expansion from the large HRE expansion of Holland makes what I can take seriously limited. Naples itself is one of the largest cities in Europe, however, and taking it is probably sufficient to ensure that the Kingdom of Naples can never seriously challenge Spanish dominance again. It'll still probably be at least a hundred years before Sicily is ready for integration simply because of the ludicrous warscore costs of Neapolitan provinces, but it's a start in the proper direction. Due to European AE I'll need to deal with Africa next, and following that probably an Ionian Coast expansion of the Byzantines, leaving the Turkish provinces in the Balkans to sit for the time being.

Second plague in a row spawned in Toledo, unfortunately destroying the careful economic base I had built. To save myself I quarantined Toledo to the max level and activated most plague measures, reducing my urban POP from 44 to 19, just barely above Naples. I'm no longer the largest city on the continent, although Toledo's huge urban gravity will fix that within a few decades. The rest of Spain was largely spared by their sacrifice, although I did still lose 10% of my POPs. The loss of so much income is really damaging me, so colonies can't really come quickly enough.

So far everything's going almost flawlessly - the Ottomans are very close to what they looked like historically in 1480 (if we exclude that the conquest of Crimea is instead the conquest of Syria) while also getting the required negative penalties for blobbing, like constant rebellions from conquered cultures along high autonomy and high enough AE. The Hungarians are trying to do the Ottomans' job and blob into Crimea, which is about to be reverted due to not only overextension away from the capital but the possibility of their entire territory to the east separating if they drop stability and get unrest modifiers (they're hanging at about 2/3 unrest for those provinces). Bohemia, due to overextension into Poland, is about to spawn a separatist rebellion in the north that is twice their standing army's size and a single drop in Castile's stability will cause them to spawn their own set of rebels in their French north as well.

The mod is almost completed and all I need at this point is to fix the HRE and integrate it with the M&T patch that's going to come out tomorrow, and I'll post it here

Instead of having 3-4mil manpower they now have just 1.4mil which makes them actually vulnerable to good attackers and not straight up invincible. They have problems with rebels to the south as well as problems with their massive estates (which is historically correct as well). Instead of spamming every single surrounding country with tributary demands they now barely manage two (Ayutthaya and Dai Viet). A single fuckup and a drop to -2/-3 stab will most likely engulf their country in a mass peasant rebellion, which is, again, what historically should be happening

Here's how the Ottoman Empire looks like - fighting an Albanian separatist rebellion while being halfway to both Greek and Vlach rebellions, all the while having manpower and income issues due to slightly higher autonomy than usual. It's not an issue for the Ottomans to defeat them but may become useful for players who actually want to attack the Ottomans and have a chance of winning over getting annihilated like what usually happens in M&T.

Colonisation, I wouldn't really class it as a mechanic. You press a button and wait and then you get a new province, that's hardly a mechanic. In comparison, Liqqy's colonisation requires you to invest in naval tech, build naval bases, and build ships. You can't colonise all of Africa on a level 1 port like you can in EU4.
