It's not a meme. With a random finder, you click a button and silently follow along with zero responsibility because they can't kick you even if you suck. Doing it manually, there's the risk of getting judged and rejected, or running into a jerk, or screwing up, and online games always attract autists who are socially awkward as well as 14 year olds who shit talk everyone.

People are afraid of situations like one pickup WoW raid where I was the offtank and the main tank started insulting my gear for not being purple and the raid leader for inviting noobs. He proceeded to die and wipe the raid twice, blaming the healers of course. Then he rage quit, ranting about how he couldn't be bothered to carry the raid. Everyone was pissed off and frustrated, a couple other people left, the raid was on the verge of disbanding, and the leader convinced them to try once more with me main tanking and some dps swapping to an offtank setup. The boss died easily. It turned out the other guy was wearing a bunch of random garbage stats to cheat the gearscore mod.

And if you want to have a permanent group like an ET static or organized WoW raiding, then you do have to put in the effort to coordinate schedules, figure out loot policies, and resolve disagreements. All of that versus the random finder system of click button, get reward, end up bored.

How useful are Squires? It's what I set out to do back when the game was revealed way back and now I've finally done it, though I did it blindly and not sure which skills are the most useful. I just want to make base camps and hold feasts to buff friends with.

It's good to speedrun with new characters. You can leave your barracks in the front of the ID80 and in the front of the ID260 for your alts to use it.

4 months ago id tell you that squire shops oversaturated the market and you could never sell higher than zero profit. Now, you can probably always find a ch1 or 2 in town thats missing a shop.

Base camp is best used for yourself to get to 315 orange mat farming maps, but it sometimes used for ET or WBing. Same goes for feast table.

Dont make squire part of your main build, make an alt that squires.

Just hit musketeer2! Need some help because I'm going to have to reroll because my class build is fucked up and I'm debating between Sapper3 or QS3 right now.

Just to preface this

As of right now, I'm planning on going Sapper3>Falconer because they have decent AOE options and hope that I don't cripple myself cause of shit-tier computer. My stat investment is going to be 120-150 dex, rest strength. Any advice on what I should be doing? I hear Sapper's moves all scale with strength so that's a little concerning

If you're going to roll an Archer2Sapper3Falc1Musk2, then you shouldn't put any point in DEX. Since you need to be auto attack focused, make a Full DEX Archer3QS3Musk2 instead. The build with Sapper and Falc is totally skill focused, while Archer3QS3 gives you Kneeling Shot with more than 1k extra patk and Running Shot.

Archer2 has KS5: DEX + 31.79
Archer2 has KS10: 2*DEX + 52.3

With 367 points invested in DEX, you get 399 patk with Archer2, while Archer3 has 787 patk. With Monstrance and a Blue Pokubu Gem on your gloves, you get more than 1k patk and that's just from your invested points alone. With DEX gear and a cleric's Divine Might, I'm pretty sure you can achieve something between 1300~1500 extra patk from Kneeling Shot or even more.

Also don't forget to max Oblique Shot, since it'll be compatible with Musket in an upcoming update.

After many failures with my Kabba2 post-renewal, I've got tired of Clone memes and I'm going to reset this character. I already have other meme clerics, so I'm looking for something a bit different or old meta. Here's what I thought:

I would try the new meme tank paladin on that C2Diev1Pala3 build, but with PD 1 for healing factor and mask, plus incineration is far from bad with a good mace+agny+conviction, also, iirc you can pandemic conviction too, but with a small aoe, of course, since no atrib from pt 2.

I chose Taoist at R8 for this build so I can try looking for ET parties to try the memetank Paladin while I can be at least useful in AFK floors. The damage mitigation from Resist Elements and Tri-Disaster Charm seems to be neat together.

Resist Elements and Tri-Disaster Charm are trash. 350 resist is fucking nothing, it'll maybe drop 300-400 damage off of non-physical attacks. The only good part of Resist Elements is the 15% chance to straight up resist damage and the 8% magic damage increase.

Dragoon makes no sense.

IMC said they hoped to make dragoon the natural choice for hoplite and lancer the natural choice for cataphract. This is evidenced by the fact dragoon couldn't even use their skills while mounted at launch.
Ok so here are the issues:

1) Both cases have a 1 rank gap with no perfect fit: Hoplite takes R3-R5 and needs to fill R6 with something before taking dragoon. The choices are pretty much either doppel or backtrack and take a class several ranks below, and doppel C1 is particularly terrible now.
Cataphract takes R4-R6 and need something to fill at R7 before Lancer is available. Being a mounted class locked to 2h spears makes that choice even more limiting than hoplite's. People are pretty much locked between a choice of corsair for the pillaging passive, a flag that dismounts you and iron hook pvp memes or dragoon for some extra shit scaling damage skills to play with while your other skills are on cooldown. The choice is really so irrelevant in the end I've seen people take templar for the teleport skills.

2) Hoplite specializes in one handed spears and dragoon in two handed spears. A third of hoplite skills involve having a shield, and its class attribute increases damage against medium size targets by 20% when using a one handed spear.
Dragoon at the very least isn't locked to two handed spears, but their two handed spear mastery is wasted if you use spear + shield. That's 20% more damage to large mobs and 10% more damage to bosses, not to mention the p.atk loss from using a 1h spear vs 2h spear (roughly 400-1000 patk). The supposedly increase in defense from wielding a shield also makes no sense as no content in the game poses a threat that justifies sacrificing offense for more defense. One could argue you're supposed to weapon swap according to the target type, but we know how well that has worked out so far, hmm?

3) Doppel C2's skills deal more damage than Dragoon C2's and it's a rank below. Really...?

two easy tricks to help with that
1)Google and download "Warmode" ToS addon, it's old and not on the manager but still works, put the .ipf in the folder with all the others addon ipfs and press alt+numpad0 before getting close to the boss
2)edit your User.xml, find DrawActorPreset line and change the default 99 to something very low like 10 or something like that

This way you should get double digit FPS and avoid VGA error too but you would only see the boss moving and only a bunch of people but 0 effects or numbers, so if you start losing hp try to spot a cleric and move around it for walking over possible heal tiles or guess where boss heal tiles and boss poison pools, fire pillar, Mirtis spin laser are
Also if you depend on aiming circles skills like hail hug the boss or again, guess where you are aiming your skills
