Fake Ciri is possibly the weakest card in the game (also my waifu). Even in a dream scenario if you play her round 1 turn 1, play all the cards and she miraculously stays untouched the whole time, thats a whopping 20 point swing for you (2*10). Just ignore her until she goes away ;_;
The only way Fake Ciri ever becomes non-shit is for Gwent to have cards that buff cards on both sides (right now only Yen does it)

Yes, you do multiply it because the effect loses the opponent power AND gains the same amount to you.
FCiri gains 1str per turn, which equals then to a 2 point swing after she switches sides. This is why I said that cards that buff both sides of the board would make her strong. Imagine a unit like

If you apply that to Fake Ciri, you effectively just boosted yourself by 8. Such card would also make Menno fucking great.

I'd also cut operator since you want to use him asap but you also need to mulligan a lot of shit like commandoes/ambushes/saskia/roach you get the idea, he's good with staggering one of your vanguards if you get him early thoough, same reason for the hawker support, then you have 3 vanguards with different strength

You can make the Dwarfs deck better by dropping Morenn and Isengrim for ADC and Saskia. The Trappers don't really fit either. Another Defender and Mercenary would be better.

Axemen is okay, but both Axemen and Dwarfs are tier 2 decks. If you really want to hit Rank 20, you pretty much need to be playing Dagon or Discard.

Hoping for the best oftentimes means you're going to lose. Vanguards are terrible finishers and like I said the most reliable finisher I've found for elf decks is just dropping gold bodies with a bunch of scorches. So ideally it's going to be at least Borkh, Schirru, Eithne, and Saskia in the 3rd round. But you're playing mulligan so you're just going to have to deal with a shitty round 3 finisher.

It's a fine line. Gwent has definitely lost some of its complexity and interesting mechanics due to the requests of reddit, but ignoring their users too much would also be a bad thing. This is my only real complaint aswell. It's hard to balance something when they touch so much with infrequent patches. What was it, someone said 60-70% of cards are being changed in the next patch? That's a hell of a lot of churn. Smaller patches mean it's easier to identify and rectify balance issues.

At least in HS constant card interaction means that you have to do simple math and execute your combos correctly (well, until some card with effect: win gaem hits the table). Skellige, ST, and NR are almost completely autopilot, I'm convinced you could easily make a bot that would get into grandmasters with this faction. NG and monsters are only factions that don't play advanced solitaire and have to react to board state in any meaningful way (fogging shit is interaction okay). I can't remember the last time I actually had to pause and think about my next move, I also can't remember facing anything but most predictable netdecks, I also also can't remember being able to do shitjack about these predictable netdecks if my starting hand wasn't perfectly drawn.

The biggest change to Gwent came with the OB.
In CB, people were helpful. Once OB came and a bunch of semi-populars streamers jumped into the wagon, the game got flooded with fucking idiots.

i too used ice giants at very low level, if you insist on using them ekimaras go well with them, consume them right after you apply frost so if it gets cleared you don't lose the 5 points swing and get carryover for the next round. there are better options but it's fine for now

milling is when you draw more and more cards from both players deck's. it's very good for fucking up combos (witchers,crones) and fucking up opponent's that have trash cards they want to drop ASAP (golems). the idea is that with assire you can put cards back into your deck so your opponent will run dry but you wont so you'll get turn advantage by drawing cards while he doesn't. goes well with tibor since he won't draw a card if he's empty
