The downside is that its a tiny gold body if you can't find a target. Igni is really overrated, it can hit hard if you get it in round 1, but further rounds its either dead or has to hit for a meh 15-20 swing. I don't understand the concept behind reaver hunters. You have these archetypes, like discard, reveal, consume, mulligan etc that spend the entire game buffing their bronzes to hopefully have a powerful finisher. And there you have reavers that reach the same levels of strengths just from being dumped on a board. They also can't be locked. They have inbuilt stagger. They can be played twice with Nenneke. Henselt + reavers is the single most powerful no-setup burst in a game. You can be 3 cards down and still win by reavers alone. I really don't get it.

Can Gwent survive at all? I just realized that the game has absolutely zero normie appeal. You can't smash smash the opponents units, there's no card draw every turn (which adds fun and RNG topdecking), the game often feels like a colourful solitaire, you win it not by satisfyingly blowing the face, but by putting bigger number on your side of the board.

i have 3 of all bronzes in the game. most silvers and most golds. getting premiums is still very hard though

when i was very early in the game i scrapped some premiums i got and didn't plan to use in order to min-max the powder and put it where it matters but i regret it now. you get a tiny fraction of what it's worth. i milled a premium xarthisius,wyvern,mahakam defender and stammelford's tremors. defenitly could've used the defender and stammelford's today. wyvern is still trash and xarthisius is one of the prettiest premiums in the game even if he's shit, since then i got a regular version of him that i keep even though i don't use it

In order to counter grave hag, you need to have the right card AND last say. Cynthia can't be used as a finisher because there needs to be a card in your opponent's hand to reveal, so it is inherently worse. Grave Hag's point potential is also much higher than Cynthia's.

Strictly depends on deck, but they always seem like a solid choice right now. For example if a consume player gets last play in the final round, you can't counter Gravehag.

Other decks may get to time their Villen properly and also force you to put out your strongest cards before he burns something weaker.
