Blizzard really fucked up with Garrosh's representation in Heroes of the Storm. His abilities and role do not fit his character fantasy in any way. His kit should have been for another character.

Yes, he is fun to play. But he should have been a bruiser, like Artanis, but with burst and less focus on defense and with an ability to force 1v1.

Death and Decay functions differently because of Kel'Thuzad. Also no skeletons cause of that.

Try and hard read them. Play a bunch of Zeratul/Valeera/Nova so you learn "if I was this fucker, what would I be doing right now".
Trying to actually watch for them is eye rape. Figure out where to expect them, throw shit into bushes you think they're in, watch for them on the minimap, etc.
Big important point is to keep in mind who they want to target. None of the stealthies have giant killer talents and they're also very burst-oriented, so expect them to show up near your Chromie/KT/Tracer/Valla after they blow their abilities.

D build, get Attack Speed.

Safest build is W build since it doesn't require a quest. Q build is broken on BoE.

Don't take the trait talents at 13 or 16, they're both garbage. Don't take the vault talents (except for the q reset), they're both garbage.

it's only worth taking if you also have both targeted excision and vigorous reuptake, and even then it's only an option and not automatically better than its competition

the actual benefit of carrier is that you get almost-100% uptime on your pathogen in fights, meaning you can always provide burst heals with your D exactly when they're needed

Artanis is in kind of a weird spot. He's more of a bruiser than a tank similar to sonya so you'll need another tank in your team while artanis doesn't really provide that much damage. His carry potential definitely lies in his q -> e displacement combo. If you can hit key targets with it it's almost always an autowin team fight.

They photosynthesize. They were partially engineered by the xel naga to improve their ability to process light (so even the dimmest starlight as seen in places like shakura's, or artificial suns like the solar core of the spear of adun) can provide the light needed for photosynthesis. The only thing they actually take in through their skin is water, similarly to things like salamanders or a lot of other lizards.

So yeah if you were to be exceptionally sweaty and shake hands with a protoss they'd probably absorb the water from it, but otherwise they'd rather just someone pour water over them (though the xel'naga may have improved them to the point where they can get by, by pulling moisture out of the air).

Protoss don't really have a concept of "eating", they've seen other species do it, and they used to hunt for sport but they've never needed to eat themselves. I'm also pretty sure they don't actually have the ability to hear - that may come from their psionic abilities. They do have exceptionally great eyesight though and they can sort of taste things through their skin IIRC.

It's also far more fitting to Anub'arak. He was already an "arachnid" species in warcraft, he lived in deep places and could burrow and also shoot out spikes.

Lurkers burrowed and shot out spikes and were apparently derived from some sort of giant arachnids.

Anub'alisk is the "Lurker Lord" that spits out smaller beetles and in addition to his spikey shit is more of a front-line battle-tank. He was feral for a bit, but was re-integrated with the swarm. Lurkers apparently existed in the leviathan brood in sc1 (even pre-BW, because broods do what they want) but kerrigan / "cerebrate" brood didn't get them until during the broodwars, and that was when she started experimenting with her own entities, like re-structuring/re-engineering queens to be more of a hive defense / cerebrate / overlord type role. As a Lurker "King" Anub'alisk probably would have been a goddamn monster. It seems he was assigned to the "birthing colony of Cavir", the world used to belong to the tiamat brood of daggoth.

Reading wiki's its not certain if he was an entity, or a strain. I'd lean more towards entity.

Reading up on the tiamat brood. They were the largest brood specialized towards space and space combat. Tiamat almost never employed ground units, except on rare occasions, but when they did their units were just well and above what other zerg strains had. Tiamat was infamous for extremely advanced and specialized zerg.

"Cerebrate"/Kerrigan brood had regular hydralisks. 80hp, 10 damage +1 per ugprade. Tiamat had Hunter-Killers, 160hp, 20 damage, +2 per upgrade.

So yeah, Anub'alisk(s) would have been basically the lurker equivalent to the hunter-killer. Bigger, tougher, meaner, more able to absolutely fucking smash things.

Hots is pretty good for that. I like the zerg skins quite a bit, but I also enjoy the 'twist of fate' skins where "if things had happened differently this is what we'd have gotten".

Like Nova and Kerrigan were supposed to be sort of parallel opposites of each other: Both extremely powerful psionics (each more or less shattering the scale), both young girls who killed family members by accident when powers awakened. Kerrigan hated ghost program, Nova loved it. Kerrigan captured by zerg, Nova barely escapes them (if kerrigan was not captured nova could have been), both quite fond of jimmy.

Undead crypt fiends just let their much smaller also-reanimated spider brethren hide in their dead bodies, whereupon they released them to swarm and attack. (presumably this is a similar thing with anub). They were ranged attackers in game, but in fluff they waded into melee with their big damn claws after things were sufficiently horrified by undead-spider-poison-negative-energy bites and also used webs.

I'd guess that Anub'alisks would actually be able to spawn things, rather than just host them. But they seem to be a horrifying blend of Ultralisk, Roach, Lurker and Swarm-host. Tiamat brood was ruthlessly aggressive and hunter-killers were noted as being far more bloodthirsty and malicious than even regular hydralisks (who were bad enough).

So yeah, far more "assertive". When needed Anub'alisks could be quite defensive, but presumably they'd either fly (while they can fly, it is clumsy and they don't have any defenses there) or burrow into an enemy base, weaken key things with their lurker spines, then pop out of the ground and rip things apart with their claws, while popping out beetles (anti-ground) and locusts (anti-air?).

It does seem that they would be weak to aerial opponents... but they can apparently drag them do the ground with webbing jesus fuck is there anything these critters cant do or let the rest of the aerial/space combat oriented Tiamat brood take care of shit.

Just did some quick checking, ultalisks are larger than thors. Lurkers / swarm hosts are a bit closer to crucio siege tank (hammer) in size just a tiny bit larger. Roaches are actually pretty tiny.

So yeah, tactical revision, they don't spawn near as many things as the swarm host, nor do they tear shit up like ultralisks - they'd probably be happy to engage marines/marauders but not thrilled by cyclones. Would be more lurker/swarmhost tactics until things are sufficiently weak, then they'd run over them.

Depends on the specialist, depends on the map, depends on when they hit their power spikes.

Zagara for example is a rather poor teamfighter (very low AA damage, skills are only meh with long-ish cd's, takes multiple rotations of them to get much done), but she can easily pressure 2-3 lanes at once (especially once she gets muta) and be everywhere. You're better off to let her do her thing and use the XP advantage you get from her to win fights.

Nazeebo is also only pretty mediocre at teamfighting (unless he's a god at landing walls) but he can carry a whole team if he gets to level 20 with vile infection completed.

Xul is a similar case where he only really provides an ult and a root for teamfights, but can get you so much experience in the early game it's not even funny.

Since they fixed it giving cooldown reduction for each target hit, it's only mediocre. It's still better than serrated spine (unless you are fighting someone horrible who lets you just stack it up to ridiculous levels), but in general the best talent at that tier is envenomed spine. Level 4: Focused Attacks pretty much always, there are some situations where you might want to pick hurricane if you can just spin uninterrupted in their team but get slowed rooted all the time but most of the time it's focused attacks

Nova, Valeera, and Zeratul all prey upon the independence that QM players require (since nobody's going to trust their idiot allies in QM). Tracer is somewhat similar with excelling against an overextended foe or bullying single enemies.

Malthael and Butcher are common sights too for similar reasons. Any hero who rocks at dueling or can interrupt duels very suddenly is popular in QM, because it's the mode where dueling is the most common.

People like to run around being retarded and killing people in QM because there's no guarantee you will get heroes that are good against what your opponents have, or that you'll get things good for the map. In draft modes she disappears because she can be countered or punished.
