I wish there was more information available about the dragons. Hopefully in future DLC we'll get something, but I doubt it. I can't see the DLC dungeon being another Divine Beast, so what could it even be or entail if it's, as we might assume, Champion related? For what purpose would require delving into some dungeon if the previous Champions are dead and/or the Champions are reformed in the current time? To retrieve some ancient item/power or some shit? Why would the Champions need to be reformed, assigned to their Beasts and you to find this dungeon or temple if Ganon has already been dealt with with no pressing threats remaining? That is, if it's set after his defeat. Also the boss, if it's not going to be a Blight. And how and why has Ruta stopped working dammit.

I'm finally getting around to replaying BotW in Master Mode and something really bothers me. The colors are so drab and depressing. I cranked up the saturation/chroma on my TV and the game suddenly looked gorgeous. I could see a lot of texture details and noticed things like motion blur that had previously been super subtle because the game lacked contrast due to being so desaturated.

Why did they wash everything out and layer on the atmospheric fog? With more color the game is actually breathtaking, the style looks more like SS watercolor aesthetic than messy blobs.

You could default to "destroyed" or "lost", but to build so many and as advanced as they are, they would have needed a pretty big and sophisticated plant/underground area like a mega shrine where they mass produced them, and then get them out of the facility and into the storage columns. If it was above ground, you'd think you'd see at least some remnants, but then do we don't really see any Ancient Sheikah ruins. Their structures are pretty damn sturdy and none of the shrines have collapsed in.

I reckon there's still something REALLY deep below the castle, that they just didn't discover yet to the full extent. There could have been a manufacturing plant very, very deep that was connected to the columns, and the Guardians moved to said columns upon coming off the line primed for activation upon Ganon's arrival.

Or they could have had an assembly line really far away, as far away from Ganon as possible and used advanced travel gates to move them to where they wanted and then into the columns. Now that I think of it, having the place where you produce all your extremely sophisticated battle tech next door to where Ganon is would be rather dangerous, since iirc it was said Ganon came from deep within the castle. Though I guess if you've already made the Guardians and are just waiting it out it wouldn't really matter. That and they moved away from tech anyway after Ganon's initial defeat.

Makes sense. I reckon there might be some more chambers around though. Maybe four smaller chambers located at the base of the columns , connected to the central lab via travel gates or closed off corridors. In the event of Ganon's return, the lab engages an emergency lockdown protocol and the columns subsequently activated. I'm guessing Hyrule at the time didn't find everything. There's still Guardians in the rock underneath the castle too if you've been down there, but were never powered back up and thus couldn't be corrupted by Ganon, assuming that Ganon needed the Beasts and Guardians to be powered up in order to corrupt them first and couldn't simply do it if there were dormant. This could tie in with that fortune teller that, if I've heard right, set the events in motion to excavate the Guardians and Beast and get them to power up ready for Ganon to turn them, assuming the fortune teller was a Yiga that knew this would happen, or someone akin to Agahnim disguised as a fortune teller, but just a really weak alter ego made up of a fraction of Ganon's power, used as a means of misleading the kingdom to advance his goals, or at least destroy everything quicker since he probably didn't need the Guardians or the Beasts. It was just poetic to him to use the tools used in the first place to destroy him as means of destroying the people attempting to use them to seal him. It would be interested to see how the kingdom did if they A) ignored the fortune teller or B) listen to the him/her about Ganon, but not excavate the Guardians and rely on Zelda and Link alone without the use of Ancient Sheikah tech.

On another note I'd like to see some other cool Ancient Sheikah structures apart from shrines. DLC might give us something in that regard. I guess it depends what the dungeon is. Might be another Beast, might not.

Funnily enough I've actually been thinking a lot about that pit you mentioned, and why it's there and what could be down there. Perhaps the Yiga were trying to find something too? Maybe if the fortune teller was an aspect of Ganon, the same aspect could have paid the Yiga a visit too and in a similar fashion, tell them about something that's buried deep under the Gerudo highlands. Peculiar that the Gerudo tower also comes out of a similar "bottomless" pit that's also near to the Yiga base, but that's something else. Maybe they did find something, but couldn't do anything without the proper tools, such as a slate and accompanying hero. The Yiga might not just be after Link himself, but take a keen interest in his slate too. Maybe they not only wanted to kill him, but take his slate too for whatever reason?

I'm kind of going muh theory mode here, but naturally as I've been waiting for the DLC my head turns to these places such as the pit, and try and speculate a bit myself. It's all very interesting.

As Purah manages to make one herself without seeming much difficulty, I imagine the slate was a pretty common tool way back when and the Hero's is only unique for the combat upgrades.
The Yiga might even have an ancient one tucked away but just can't use it, or only has limited functionality as Kohga's family magic is just summoning balls and using magnesis. The slate is the easiest way to identify Link as he has the only active one currently, so that's why everyone takes an interest in it. It marks out Link as someone of significance

As I recall you couldn't attack while transformed in oracle, though being able to legitimately do so would be neat and make up for the lack of mounts. I don't see them easily integrating ricky or moosh anyway, dimitri would pretty much just acts like a 5 strength 0/1 stamina 4/5 speed horse I imagine since iirc his thing was ramming enemies but ricky would change how mounted combat worked and moosh's flight would be a nightmare to make work without just being like a cheat.

I liked the voices a lot. Biased because it's my native language.
Zelda sounded like she was using the Castilian dialect to me, which (to me) is associated with upper-class people. Kind of old-fashioned. She was the only one who used vosotros as well.
Daruk was good too, he was all EYYY MUCHACHO etc.
I think Mipha was my favorite voice. La waifu mejor.

Zelda final bosses are usually disappointing from a challenge perspective, only a few have been good and they were 2D. They're just meant to make you feel like the big man who mastered the simple combat tricks in the 3D games, and BotW does that really well, rewarding you with a cutscene of Ganon's healthbar being shredded based on how much of the story you chose to do then giving you really easy parry and flurry rush cues and super long openings created by parries and making the master sword buzz to life and gain infinite durability and then launching you into an ultra easy combined horseback archery/aerial archery course. Not a challenging fight at all but pretty much the only thing it's missing is shield surfing archery, which is really niche and I've never seen anyone but me seriously try to get good at it.

Twilight Princess's Ganon was a decent challenge since there were so many levels to it.
Demise was the most disappointing, I think. It was exciting as hell when I played it because I had three hearts and no potions but it was still just the parry and smack combo you learned in the beginning of the game

The divine beasts could have been cooler in the final fight but you had to be able to beat it without doing the beasts. They really shot themselves in the foot with that.
