4 Berserkers would be horrible, but if you run a single one there much more manageable and a very good source of continuous damage, which you'd be pumping out anyway in a regular run. There are a few times where it's distinctly bad, like the sandworm fight but very high damage and access to axes, which are great maker berseker a very reliable, albeit boring unit.

Beastmaster on the other hand while handy in a lot of scenarios aren't great in boss fights, and that's where the bulk of difficulty in this game comes from, I would replace them with literally any other job in a boss fight and be happier.

Nothing is said about Rozzaria (even in RW, which is illogical for plenty of reasons not just this) except for the fact that there isn't a full-out war, and it's never said that Ondore would have launched a full out attack should Ashe have been able to prove her birth (and I don't think I've ever claimed otherwise anyways, although he probably wouldn't have and it's implied that he wouldn't have).

FFBE just reaffirms my opinion and thus rightful fact that Final Fantasy IV is the most superior Final Fantasy to ever be made.

Her LB will likely never be used in intangir, he's sleeping all the time and hitting him would probably wake him.
Prism heal is 2500 HP, her esunaga is 1000.
Her regen, once again, does not stack with other sources. And it isn't actually that high.

It's 3k heal with 9x mod. That means a 600spr 300mag ayaka would heal 5552 split over 3 turns on average. That's only 1850 HP a turn, and barely more than your bard.

The problem with Aileen is that there's fucking nothing for decent Earth gear. You've got like, the MonHun katana that isn't even 100 ATK, Aileen's TMR, and that's it. Ruggles' TMR would be somewhat relevant if anyone could actually use hammers.

Actually I'm gonna elaborate on why Beastmaster doesn't suck in boss fights just to emphasize and drive home how awfully bad you must possibly be to think otherwise.

Beastmaster does suck in boss fights past Turn 1, that much is true, but you don't fall off in boss fights if you end the fight in the first 3 turns.

Beastmaster lets you frontload your party with 8000+ damage in World 1. It lets you frontload your party with 4x25% Max HP damage in World 2/3. It frontloads damage numbers that only Mystic Knight and Dualcast Black/White Mage can match in casual non-ChemBard influenced gameplay.
And if you don't frontload damage, you can outright cheese some bosses with utility !Releases or instant death !Releases.
And failing that, you get access to Mighty Guard in World 3. No class with access to Shell, let alone ProShell, in FF5 can be called "Bad in Boss Fights" with a straight face.

Beastmaster is a damn sight better than the others in your theoretical "Worst FJF Party" and it's a shitload better than fucking MONK who probably does hold the title of "Worst Job In The Game" because he's reduced to just an item battery come late-game and nothing more.

Didn't include Assassin because I don't have it 8* and besides once Viking was released it pretty much replaced it, although that might be because it has more life but I don't know for sure.
Anyways, the deck and weapon selection was used because it won't skew the stats. The weapon is the one that comes from the onion job of each class and the cards don't have any HP/Magic/Break%+ statuses.

Taunt cards are supposed to be used by defenders.
Those are the guys with the highest amount of HP and defense. They also have element drive heals so they heal themselves. And don't forget that the defender should be able to drive the enemy's element so it gets even less damage.
Usually defenders don't have a problem staying alive themselves even with every enemy attacking them exclusively.
Their only problem might be a support with echo, or even worse berserk, cutting the party's defense just at the same turn the enemy unleashes their special attack.

I tried doing Ultima 3* as Paladin earlier and it didn't go so well, but I did survive for some 5-10 minutes. We had another dark tank and two shitty DPS so it basically went nowhere.

When making the room if you press the slot that says Free it will toggle. You can set each slot to reserve for certain roles. That's also how you set-up AI teammates, if that's your thing.

They all are auto-hasted, and can walk faster than your guys and you have to chase them around fucking everywhere. One of them can buff the others. Also they spam multiple status ailments at once. Hope your healer doesn't get silenced, or you brought 20-30x of each debuff remover. They do have some elemental weaknesses but good luck getting the cast off before they run usually. This is near the end of the fight.

Yeah, you can set one of your own decks to be AI controlled. It can be the same one you use, or an entirely different job. I love it, it's fun to custom make your own multiplayer decks but in reality it only work on 2* and lower fights. You really need proper co-ordination for anything higher.

Yeah Chemist and Bard remove Monk's major flaw:
It's damage is more reliant on level than any other job in the game.
Which is great for World 1 where it stays ahead of the pack and scales harder every other fight, but FF5's level curve fucking sucks and it just falls further and further behind everyone else.

The real kicker with Monk though is the one item that lets it deal on-par damage at end-game is an accessory so you get locked out of actually GOOD accessories like Hermes Sandals and Reflect/Flame Rings. So you either equip the Kaiser Knuckles and have a slow liability, or you leave them off and abuse its highest HP stat to throw items at everyone.

Monk's biggest contribution to a FJF is really the HP+30% ability to inflate your HP past Neo's HP check.

That part of the conversation was even more ridiculous than the sneaking descriptions though, as Ghis' glorious idiocy didn't have too much to do with their first visit except in it led to the party seeking out the dawn shard, which was completely necessary. Even if the first visit hadn't happened Ghis likely would have done the same stupid thing with the dawn shard, and thus still would have fucked up his own fleet. So yes, the bundle is 100% worth it just for the tickets, the other stuff in there is just gravy.

It wasn't in the plan because it didn't need to be in the plan. I never stated that it was an explicit part of the plan as it happened, just that it wasn't harmful in any way. The initial plan was to learn the position of the shard from Ashe directly, or at least get a clue to it, and then go from there, and it ended up working quite well.
Also remember that it is extremely likely that the True Hero knew where the dusk shard was at this point, as it's heavily implied that Venat has been telling him and Dr. Cid the party's movement for a long time at the end of the game.
There also wasn't as much happenstance in the bangaas' plans as you're implying, their entire focus is on balthier who seems to be a very predicable person if nothing else. There was never any reason to bring up what was still thought to be just a shiny rock by the peasants to Ondore, and there was no reason to send anyone else after Ashe when there were people already willing that weren't connected to him and thus he could easily deny relation to.
There wasn't too much that could've gone wrong, and as has been stated before Larsa was never in any real danger.
