And I have, i'm not changing my realmlist like 6 times to prove to one autist that Dalaran-WoW is simply a great server worth trying.

hard core raiders at the end of vanilla were disappointed by karazan and t4. it was seen as easy childsplay compared to naxx40 they had been doing for months. blizz did something right by having all of t5 available on launch for tbc. it gave the hardcores something to strive for while casual players grinded kara/t4 to catch up to the months worth of gear raiders had available from naxx. this is why you saw many classes using their t3 set bonuses well into karazan. t4 was only a catchup tier. naxx in wotlk was obviously supposed to be the karazan of that expansion but i suspect due to time constraints and pressure to release early from activision they ended up launching well before ulduar was finished. this is what ultimately lead to the type of design philosophy we have in retail today.

i played in cataclysm heroic ragnaros was probably one of the tightest dps checks ever created for a 10 man raid group the amount of dps required to do phase 3 without spawning more then 1 meteor on 10 man mode was fucking ludicrous and having more than one meteor spawn made phase 4 of the fight astronomically harder so yes i think you can safely call that a dps check. I remember we were 250 wipes in we had been clearing every other boss on heroic for many weeks farming the best possible loot before we finally had the dps to push for 1 meteor and it was only through our resto druid wasting his tree form healing cd (back in cataclysm when you used tree form it temporarily increased your sunfire and wrath damage) to dps the boss just enough to push the dps check. being the only other healer i had to solo heal the entire raid and tanks during this phase and it was very intense one of the greatest gaming memories i hold to this day. However this isnt good game design because on 25 man mode this DPS check simply didnt exist.
