What is /vn/'s stance on G-Senjou no Maou?
I finished it around an hour ago and while it completely shat the bed in the fourth arc and going into the fifth the ending was pretty good. Pulling a 5pb song out of their ass at the last minute was a nice surprise as well.

Pretty fun. Usami is amazing. I don't hate the twist itself, but I feel like it could have been foreshadowed a lot better than it was. The only reason I'm not mad about how abrupt it was was because I felt the setup for Kyousuke to be Maou was way too blatant and therefore a red herring.

I hate multiple routes, desu. Why do VNs won't handle it like W Happiness did, you just choose your route at the beginning and go on a different adventure. I hate it when I pick a new route and have to skip through 50% of it, because it's already stuff that I've read. After I skipped so much I don't even know where the fuck I am in the timeline and get really discouraged. Games like Saya no Uta and Quartett! (that one kinda) did a really good job with different routes, because they really were new. But games like, for example Demonbane are horrible in that regard, because like 3/4 of the text stay the same.

I think Mihiro is the "consolation prize" if you fail to get into any route. I kept trying to get into Ashe's route by picking negative options for every other girl but still ended up with Mihiro until I went back to change one of the choices with Ashe that I got wrong.
