What are your hopes for Fire Emblem Switch?

I really enjoyed the classism exploration in Echoes. I hope they expand on it to tell an even richer story/have some worldbuilding. I would like there to be a dichotomy between a Republic and a Monarchy, with the main character similar to Alm but this time he is an exile from a noble House that will never be prosperous again. You can either choose to stay with the Republic or you can aim to create a fiefdom for yourself in the Monarchy, winning their favour and looking to make more reforms. There are no cultists in either; the Monarchy is trying to become an Empire, and the Republic is actually quite fertile and needs to defend their land from a resource war. In between both is a Mercantilist state where the deuteragonist lives, who must act as an envoy to get either nation to stop expanding to protect his very rich family's trades.

Honestly, I'm in the same boat as you. Just like you, I've got a fully decked out Xander and he's pretty damn great at tanking. But sometimes his lower Spd and his struggle to move through forest tiles can be a bit of an issue, so someone like Ike or Ryoma would be nice to use to switch it up.

That said, I also have no red tome user whatsoever, so I've been wanting Celica too. I'm probably gonna spend my 170+ Orbs on trying to get her because not only will she be a bonus unit for Tempest, she's also pretty good in general. Best part is, she shares the red spot with Gray, who isn't bad in the slightest either as his stat line is actually pretty comparable to Ike, just without a DC sword.

So aim for Celica first, and if you get her, aim for Ike for Hero Fest afterwards.
