youll find that the high level king players dont actually do too many grapples in 1 match. hes got good neutral, the high damage grabs are just a bonus. if they break the throw, oh well, if they dont then enjoy your damage. in lower levels of tekken feel free to grab people as much as you want though, they wont break it.

what strings should i learn for claudios neutral game.

df1 for mid check, it's -1 on block so you can disrespect on block sometimes or step jabs

df3 if they're farther out.

jab1 -> GS/TT/iSW

poke low with d3 and d4, CH hunt with b1 and very occasionally with db3

Obviously throw anytime they sit there and block

f1+3 is very + on block, buffer throws out of it and if they start ducking then f3:1+2 will beat literally any button they press or if they duck, and it's safe.

ff3+4 is very + but it's a meme because it's high and seeable. uf1+2 also, + and leads to combo but very slow and it can be stepped/you can be jabbed out of it.

Tombstone is good and breaks floors, use it plenty. I just use TT because if you're playing on stick it sounds the same to the guy standing next to you, and you have really good oki after it.

King is medium-high execution to get everything out of him. GS and TT are tricky starting out, his wavedash is insanely hard, he gets some 15+ damage out of most of his combos if you can do the really hard ff1 versions, he has two relevant just frames but the f3:1+2 is the only one you'll use much, iSW takes a lot of practice to do at zero range.

Chain throws can be dropped but honestly they're not as important at a higher level of play

If you just want to beat up your scrub friends though they won't break throws based on hands so you don't really need iSW, you won't need wavedash, and the ~60 damage combos he has are pretty easy, you really just need to learn GS/TT and chainthrows to meme on people. Depends on where you want to take him.

Hardest regular move to execute with him is his 1,2,ff+1 juggle. But you can just replace that part with d/f2,1 for an easier lower damage combo.

As for his chain grabs, the only ones that are really hard to execute are RDC and Screwdriver due to how input buffering works, but if you use your shoulder buttons for 2-button combinations they're pretty easy.

I don't think it's possible, the f+3 should push it too far away to connect. At any rate you can't do a (S!) off of that so it's only really good for style points. It is possible to hit EWGF, EWGF, EWGF, b~f+2,3 (S!) but it's very tight.

Heads up: doing this is a retarded idea. It is an important part of high level play to figure out what your opponent doesn't have knowledge of and use it until they prove they can stop it. If they can't stop it, that's a weakness for them as a player and should absolutely be exploited. It's different if you're playing with your buddies. But when playing seriously, being able to meme kids out of early bracket with shit they haven't seen before is an important strategy.

So learn how to play your character for real, learn when to stop the gimmicks, but if they an't deal with them/aren't punishing you, keep spamming that deathfist, keep using RDC, keep spamming Drag's running 2, never stop hitting buttons as Josie, etc. etc. and leave all the whiners in your wake.
