The problem being of course that making new animations is relatively costly for no gameplay benefit. Things like the Sweet Business already require a completely different firing animation so it was easy to throw in a different reload into the normal workload, but unfortunately other weapons would have less of a justification. Best they can do is to "betray" the SB users by making more exotics (or even legendaries) that are also gatling auto rifles so that the weapons pool will have more of this new reload and firing animation at the cost of simply making the SB less special.

Don't see why they couldn't combine the different reload and firing animations though. For example, if they bring back the HMG in some form they could make a new exotic auto rifle that has the gatling barrel setup and a belt feed instead of this helical mag thingy. Cost efficient way to reuse those animations to make weapons that aren't all the same.

At least they are showing with the Beta that they are trying not to have too much of the same thing as far as legendaries go. All three of the auto rifles are completely different.

It was at launch. Longest range shotgun that got even longer range on-headshot and truly rewarded precision. Nothing felt better than taking out all 3 opponents in Trials using that thing.

Then they nerfed it and shotgun range globally, meaning that the bonus range was barely noticeable and you had to be so close to get the kill you may as well just use the Wellfare Conspiracy instead.

I got why they nerfed it - double tapping was too viable. But in reducing all shotgun ranges AND hitting its bodyshot damage, it became pointless.

After Demon's Souls came out on PS3 and I decided to break away from what I usually play because that choose your own adventure feel really got to me.
