How do people manage to play through cruel/some of merciless without wanting to die?
My damage feels like it ends up in the trash the second I hit tower of god every time.
I want to hit racing speeds while leveling but at that point it just feels awful, until I hit like 60, then builds seem to just -click-, but the entire time from 26(ish) to 60 is just constantly slow feeling.
Is there any build that manages to go fast from like start of act 2 onwards?

Vaal Pact can very easily be fixed by making the RATE instant, but leaving the leech cap alone.

Say you do 10,000 damage, say you have 2,000 health. Standard leech cap is 20% of your health per second, so it would be 400 health/second. Current Vaal Pact removes the cap entirely.

How about Vaal Pact instead grants a 100% "more" bonus to leech cap (so 40% at base) and makes leech instant. So this would mean in the scenario above, you can INSTANTLY leech 800 health, but not instantly full.

If you add in Hematophagy (5%) and Vitality Void (5%), together with the 100% "more" bonus, this would bring your leech cap to 60%, so 1200 health out of 2000 health instantly.

I don't do mines, they're garbage to play. The chest is fine I think. Cooldown reduction is nice, it has some life, offers some life recovery, and completely removes mana problems with EB.

If not Frostbolt traps, then what kind? I definitely want to try out the new chest but every kind of trapper I enjoyed playing has been destroyed over the past few patches.

So I got a question for my fellow betacuck MoM RF inquisitor practitioners.

In the beginning it's all fun and games, very strong, but then you enter higher map tiers and you need to improve your life pool. That's where the problems begin because you can't really be expected to raise your mana pool / mana regen at the same rate than your life.
So now you degen mana between fights ... and Ok you're full mana again 1 second after taking on a pack of mobs thanks to consecrated ground, but for the first volley you eat you are near 0 mana, and then MoM is useless, which means a lot of near death experiences.
What am I missing? Do you just switch off RF between packs? Or invest like crazy into +mana gear/tree?

Essence worm for purity of fire is the end goal, but right now the ring isn't readily available in beta (there's one at 100c, don't have the funds right now).
So for now it's just 35% mana reserved which sucks for a MoM build, but you do what you can. The real problem is not the mana pool but the mana degen from RF which is based on life: the higher your life the faster your mana degen.
No problems during fight, the core of the build is inquisitor consecrated ground which gives you ridiculous amount of mana regen, so a ton of damage mitigation from MoM. Starting the fight is the problem.
