But yeah, bleed... Bleed damage does 50% damage to non-moving enemies and 100% damage to moving enemies, but with the keystone, your bleeds do 25% each regardless of stationary or moving and can stack up to 8 times, for 200% total.

That's pretty crap honestly. you'll want high attack speed to apply 4+ Bleeds consistently and then, if you're using a high APS weapon, your damage is probably lower, so you're applying weaker Bleeds. This is, if anything, probably too weak on top of making it too similar to Poison.

Yeah obviously you build around MoM/Cloak, it's not just a "equip it and done" unique, but it's still a stat-padding one. Just because it allows you to reroute your survivability resources to both life and mana doesn't change your gameplay. If you have a 6k buffer plus a 2k buffer, and similar recovery, you're playing the same build as one with 8k buffer.

If I can get 8k buffer without Cloak, but the latter is more efficient for any given reason (gear/passive tree efficiency), then it's just stat padding; my gear and tree planning are adapted as a consequence, but my gameplay isn't.

Tinker gives frenzies and phasing and life/es on trap related actions, the whole package is unique and not something you can replicate anywhere else on the tree. I don't play trappers so I don't care enough to think about the potential builds it enables but it's unique.

Most uniques giving benefits on triggers (on block, on charge consumed, on trap triggered, etc.) are 'unique'. Most uniques giving benefits that can be translated as raw +EHP aren't.

Bleed's shtick is that if the affected target moves they take more damage. That's it. That's the only thing that makes bleed as a mechanic 'unique'.
Then they introduce a keystone that's basically, your bleed's topend is multiplied by 2, while simultaneously removing that annoying part of bleed where you you had to kite / knock back targets for effective damage.
It's really stupid and a bandaid to some underlying issue with bleed.

They'd be better off if they remade bleed with this keystone and just drop the keystone than to let bleed be shit if you don't have this mandatory keystone.

Sunder isn't actually that good. At least, relative to the power levels a patch ago.

Then AoE got gutted. Most skills struggle to clear a pack with IncAoE. Sunder was virtually unaffected by this because all you do is send it right down the middle and the entire pack is dead regardless of +packsize%. That means you can slap 5 more damage multipliers on it and have what is effectively a ranged attack with high melee damage more multipliers that also inherently pack clears as just something the gem does.

BF is good literally only with glad bleed explosions or inquisitor with HoI explosions. You need at least one of those to boost your pack clearing.

In other words, its situationalish okay now, compared to being a tier 1 skill before the AoE changes.

The issue with bleed (aside from just low numbers) is that when your damage matters you're up against a boss that wont want to move, cant be knocked back of feared, so in those situations you're arbitrarily doing half the damage you should because of some bullshit 'muh bleed mechanic flavor'.

The flavor is fine as is, it makes sense

but in practice it gets flipped around and feels bad

The issue with 1 is that the new flavor of bleed will be exactly like poison, stackable bleeds. It makes sense thematically, as the more you puncture a target the more they will bleed. however, having 2 mechanics essentially being the same things is really.. strange
The issue with 2 is that if players can easily bypass the flavor of bleeds against stationary targets and deal 100% of bleeds damage at most times then whats the fucking point of bleed doing half its damage to stationary targets at all?

Diablo 3 player here coming in peace, interested in this game

I checked this game out a long while ago but never got into it, I bought d3 at release, my first diablo game, played it for a while through the expansion then dropped it for a few years and recently came back to it. I rotate between playing one game solely as opposed to juggling multiple games and diablo has been it for the past 3 months or so. I had fun last season and started strong this season, looking forward to progressing.

I know there is some animosity between the fans of each of these games. I'm not really interested in that. I like diablo but I am a casual player, PoE looks even more daunting than diablo and for some I'm sure that's why they love it but as someone who has 30-90 minutes to play a night and usually just blindly follows builds the skill tree and people just saying there's so much more than diablo kind of turns me off.

I dont want to invest the time into this game if it is going to be too overwhelming for me to fully enjoy but I am interested in learning more about it and seeing if it would be an improvement on the diablo experience.

past 400 int or so, male chars should start to look more feminine
with more dex chars should start to look more athletic
with more than 400 strenght, female chars should look more butch
