I watched my friend play Persona 5 for a five hours or so (he did the nerdy girl's palace and boss plus some convos) and really got hooked, and I remember I stopped watching P4's anime because I wanted to play the game.

The question is, is the RNG on the card fusion deal too bad in Persona 4 in PS2? Can I circumvent it using savestates in an emulator?

There's a lot of complaints about Haru, but after thinking it over one that doesn't make much sense is how she 'got over her father's death quickly'. It feels to me like she was stuck over two conflicting emotions between her freedom and regret that she couldn't settle things with him along with the fact that she more or less admitted she'd destroy everything he worked for by changing his heart, which is why she gets mad at the TV station guy as she can't stand to see her dad being treated like a ratings tool regardless of her sentiments. What do you think?

They did that so that Joker coming back would have some real impact on the players. Goro coming back would have no impact.

Nah, how they handled it was perfect. They can bring him back as DLC, the fanfic writers can create scenarios where he survived, and he remains beautiful and pure for the fujos. Bringing him back would serve no purpose other than pissing off half the fans, and the other half would be overjoyed at first, then slowly realize that it ruins what was a perfect end to their favourite character.

P5's girls are definitely a step up. Futaba was the best girl in ages. I think the problem you're not seeing here is that Goro made a very bad mistake in assuming his dad would be down for just him spying on the shadows of his rivals and maybe scandalizing them to get them out of the running.

Even your targets are like that, had Kamoshida been reprimanded the moment he mistreated anyone he could have seen the error of his ways, had people questioned Madarame's works he might have decided not to continue and so on and in their own ways each Shadow highlighted how they lost their way the more their social spheres enabled and encouraged them to think what they were doing mattered more than anything else.

As it is Goro says things like how he wonders how the PTs choose their villains and says he's curious about the possibility of being a target which shows he does have remorse but he's unable to act on it in a way fair to himself and others.
