What do you think? I guess a big issue with P5 is that for how cartoon-ish these targets are it's made clear their evil acts are done from something kind of like mental illness rather than them being naturally evil (See: Sugimura).

Ann is way too attractive for you and way out of your league. You'd never stand a chance with her.

Makoto is too smart and competent for you; you'd never be able to stimulate her intellectually, nor are you emotionally mature enough for her to rely on you.

Haru is probably the only one of the girls that would even give you the time of the day, but not because she's interested in you, but only because it's in Haru's nature to be nice.

The game already establishes that Hifumi has tons of thirsty betas fawning over and she doesn't give any of them attention unless they're charming enough, and you sure as hell aren't charming.

The rest of the girls are all adults, so they have no reason to bother with a minor like you.

So you go after Futaba because she reminds you of yourself. Severely autistic, no social skills, and can only talk about things like video games and computers. You go after her because she's low hanging fruit and you know you can't do any better.

And the sad thing is? As autistic as she is, Futaba still would not be interested in you and find you completely unremarkable, just like Mishima.

Persona Mobage where I get to play as all my favorite Persona characters kinda like Q and with a similar story/premise. The characters would all come with their default personas as you unlock them but they all have the power of the wild card so you can assign whichever you want. As you level up your characters you get cutscenes and stories as well as the regular main storyline. The gacha system would be summonings for demons/personas with the rarest demons/personas being the big stuff like Helel and Metatron. Also the OST would be done by Shoji. I'd put so much money into that game for.

Watching that scene where Goro shoots Joker and how he goes really deep into denial about liking him when you meet him again, I noticed that he's strangely blank and efficient in shooting his targets when the likelihood of him ever having to kill someone in the real world is pretty much zero.

Persona 3 seemed the comfiest overall, seeing everyone doing various activities in Iwatodai Dorm when it's dark outside was comfy as fuck, especially when my first experience with the game was during winter and i usually played in the evening. Palaces exist if you have a distorted desire. The PT would only remove a palace if that distorted desire was causing a problem, I imagine. It depends if you can think of a distorted desire large enough to create a palace that is still harmless. Because really, the idea is that if it IS big enough to become a palace then that person is acting upon their desires in a harmful way...probably.

It's something I've been pondering on regarding how the Shadows pretty much are all cartoon villains, don't the P4 Shadows also greatly exaggerate themselves to the point you'd get a wrong impression if you didn't know their owners?

We could only truly confirm people like Kamoshida and the like were being villains due to their activities in the real world after all, hypothetically it's possible for an innocent person to have their life ruined to the point they truly believe they did something wrong and their Shadow would reflect only this if they were genuinely clueless.

But yeah, I wonder about this because influence from society and also the target's actions appear to be linked together, people like Kamoshida would probably have stayed a bully and pervert at most had the school not overlooked his gross misconduct.

But why? The only dark points in the game are Saki's death at the start, and most of November. Other than that, the game's a kaleidoscope of color, comedy, and feel-good slice-of-life, which the intro captures perfectly.

It's absolutely a very honest depiction of what you're in for when you play the game.
