Let's pretend that our choices, especially the final ones in Trespasser, are gonna count something in DA4. What do you think will happen in that case?

A choice with the Qunari might also pop up: there was this theory going around based on what the Qunari wrote in Trespasser, about strenghtening the Veil so that spirits, demons, and magic will stop pouring into the waking world. So we might decide whether to focus on changing Solas' plan, but keeping things as they are or choosing the other drastic way and stopping magic from existing altogether in Thedas.

That's true, but buying DLCs, especially if overpriced, shows an interest towards the game and the series, which in turn is going to affect the budget and development of future entries of that series. Any singleplayer DLCs for Andromeda were probably thrown out of the window when EA/Montreal realized the game was fucked, while Edmonton churned three of them for Inquisition in less than a year because the demand for it was strong as fuck, even if EA's DLCs are notoriously expensive.

If many people ask for and buy many DLC related to a certain series, that series will have more probabilities of staying alive, because EA will see the interest and money people pour into it. This is the most likely to happen, I think. The dev team's had to deal with the consequences of having multiple outcomes with the dark ritual before and they've said they don't want to do that again. So I think they'll honor your decision re: Solas in Trespasser, but the result will be the same either way. Not only does that prevent multiple branching plotlines in the future, but they've built up the Evanuris to the point where it'd be stupid not to include them.

It's not that surprising, to be honest. The Warden was relevant only in Ferelden, they achieved success there, but now they are too far distanced from the other events of Thedas: they have their own Calling to think about and the only main character who truly has the power to change things is the Inquisitor, who in fact is called Hero of Thedas. People want to see the Warden again because of nostalgia and I admit I miss mine too, but they would be impossible to characterize decently because of the big number of characterizations you could give them in Origins. And just look at what they did with Hawke, who had only three basic personalities.

Better receive good news through a generic letter or an old companion and let the Warden live and die in peace. Considering the fate that can await Hawke and the Inquisitor, the Warden is probably the luckiest of the trio. Right now, I want them to bring back the Inquisitor, who actually has to deal with pretty big stuff that concerns them completely (Solas, the mad Qunari, the Well of Sorrows, Dorian and Tevinter, the awakening Titans)

Red lyrium is Blighted lyrium, Bianca tells you so in Inquisition. Corypheus is Tainted as fuck, so his own magic tainted the lyrium under the Temple and the growth of lyrium growing on his body. Same thing counts for his dragon, who is not an Archdemon, but a Red Lyrium-ed dragon who Corypheus can control thanks to his bond with the Blight.

The Inquisitor is garbage. I never want to see them again.

It was stated since Inquisition that the Anchor didn't really belong to the Inquisitor, so it only made sense for it to become painful as hell in the end and threaten to kill them. It was so embedded into them that Solas had to wait to gain more power to take it back and at that point it had spread like cancer throughout the Inquisitor's arm (there is a banter with Vivienne where they say the pain has reached the jaw and numbed it).

They said one of the themes of Inquisition was building a powerful, influential army and now that they have done it, the next game will be different. Trespasser probably showed us what they have in mind: a smaller force based more on gathering information and allies through stealth than a full army marching straight into Tevinter and Par Vollen carrying standards like at Adamant. If the Inquisitor really loses his/her title no matter what, it would make sense for them to become a sort of rogue figure going around to find good, expert people while trusting Charter and her own spies to give support in other ways.

Which is exactly what seems to be going on in the latest comic: the Inquisitor is never mentioned (unlike Magekiller), but Charter and her agents have precise instructions to carry on and all the possible future companions are already together with someone (Marius with Calpernia, who cannot die in Inquisition and will probably come back in DA4 in Tevinter, Thessa with Charter and Vaea with Sebastian).

I thought it was a good resolution, in a roundabout way. One of the first things Solas says to the Inquisitor is that the Anchor is killing them, with the Breach closed it didn't stop doing that, it was just doing it slower.
Although taking it away from the Inquisitor in such a destructive manner made him seem a bit dickish he was actually being kind, which to me shows that he actually changed over the course of the story meaning his goal of destroying the world is no longer a certainty.

Anyone else noticed your DA:O getting slower and more unstable the longer you play? Both in terms of game progress but mostly just the current session playtime?
Like the game will start to freeze when you bring up menus, open certain doors and saving takes forever, until eventually it just crashes. And the farther along you are in the story the more frequent it becomes.

I assume some of it has to do with adding a bunch of mods, but is there anything that can be done about it?
It's not game breaking or anything, but it can be pretty annoying.

Not sure what number you need or of it breaks anything since I've never done it, but there is always the save editor.

Though I would suggest you do one of the other specialization quests so the game at least "knows" you've done one of them. Otherwise the quest might stay in your jounral and fuck things up or something.

There are also a few mods that unlock all of them, which is a bit cheaty, but you can just limit yourself to using the assassin one and ignore the other two.

Google a list of the DA:I PC console commands as well, there might be some way to change it that way as well.

According to one of the developer interviews, the whole of Inquisition is half of the story the developers initially intended to tell. So I think the Inquisitor will probably return as the protagonist to wrap up their story in the next game. Moreover in the Trespasser dlc, the Inquisitor specifically says that s/he will be the one to confront Solas' plan to destroy the world. The amount of Elven/Titan lore the Inquisitor learns in Inquisition, drinks from Mythal's well, etc will all play a role in Dragon Age 4. Dagna might give them a new lyrium-augmented arm.

This might piss off a lot of Origins/Warden fans but I think it is going to happen.

How else do you think the Inquisitor will return? The relationship between the Inquisitor and Solas is much deeper than Hawke and Corypheus. Since Solas is going to be the main antagonist in Dragon Age 4, the Inquisitor needs to be involved in the narrative somehow. Hawke has three set personalities so it was pretty easy to make them return as an npc. And they still did a very poor job at it and the fans disliked it. I don't think the Inquisitor would work well as an npc/advisor of sorts.

It's too early to say considering we don't actually know what DA4 is even about except it'll likely take place in Tevinter. The Inquisitor returning as an NPC would be easier to do than Hawke because let's be honest, they were incredibly watered down in terms of personality and Bioware would only need to focus on a few things: who they recruited/conscripted, what they declared the Inquisition for and their opinion on Solas.

I agree that from a story-telling standpoint it doesn't make much sense for anyone besides the Inquisitor to take Solas down, but that's irrelevant because Bioware has made it clear the Inquisitor isn't returning as a protagonist.
