If you make it too top ten consistently but never win it means you're a bitch who just hides and tries to live as long as possible with no actual winning plan. I've only gotten second place twice in 400 hrs and gotten countless wins. Don't just hide and hold onto your life, have a plan and execute it. What's the fucking point of body armour in this game if it does absolute fuck all? Fucking 3 bullets from any assault rifle to a level 3 vest and you're dead. It's beyond stupid. Is 3rd person really that bad?

I've seen people complaining that it sucks but I've had great success with it. Obviously medium/long range are better in first, but in close range encounters third person seems perfectly fine. Especially with guns like the m16 where first person ADS using burst is practically useless

I've tried it a few times and gotten a ton of kills early/mid game, but the final circles seem basically impossible. Trying to move up while avoiding multiple squads at once is really tough.

He just did. Imagine the circles cut like pizza and "Control your zone". As the circle gets smaller, divide it into larger and larger sections, always holding an edge as the gas moves in. So on like the 5th circle, control your 1 slice of the 8 slices. By control I mean hunt and kill every fucker in it. Then you know that sector is safe. When the gas moves in, move in to the new edge and this time, imagine a pizza cut into 4ths. Own your 4th. Then own your half. Then eat your chicken.

Doing this keeps enemies mostly ahead of you so you don't have to watch 360° of field. Too many people think it's wise to be in the middle of the circle, while all they are doing is pinching THEMSELVES.

As far as I'm aware you can't take damage while you're in the 'going down' animation, that's why you can't immediately instakill someone with the DBS. From the weebum it looks like either none of only a couple of your bullets actually hit him once he was properly into the downed state.

Are you taking the piss? At no point was the crosshair moved up, you're almost exclusively hitting him in the navel. The only point you're anywhere near his head in when he himself moves into the line of fire, and even then its more in the hollow of the shoulder than anywhere else.

if you didn't understand i meant when he was in the downed state. you could count the bullets and you can see that towards the end before the recording glitches a bit, the bullets are hitting his head. before that they were hitting his shoulder.

I've been toying with the idea that the area actually becomes irradiated, and being inside of it any time after the bombs drop causes gas-like ticks of damage. Not a huge amount of damage, low enough for the decision to be made to simply take it because you need a fast route. All prior red zones would probably have to be marked on the map so they are avoidable.

Because having a higher rate of fire means it needs to have zero range or less damage or whatever, according to devs. Just like how the Glock magically does a lot less damage per shot than the Beretta even though it's the same bullet and the same rough barrel length.

If anything, they should just make the Saiga rare, but up the range and make the damage equal to the 1897 so it's better than both the others by a wide margin

Literally makes no sense whatsoever. "Discourage camping", how the fuck exactly? People camping in a house will stay in a house. People camping behind a tree will... stay behind their fucking tree. The totally random chance of being hit is exactly the same whether you're camping or actually not camping and just moving to point A to point B. I never camp because I simply can't stand doing nothing, and I keep getting killed in red zones while running through forests or looting cities.
What's the fucking point? It's literally just a random "fuck you" event that makes one player feel like shit because he got robbed of his game when he gets bombed and it changes nothing else. It has no impact on the gameplay at all.

It would only make sense if it was much more lethal so that people HAVE to get out of it, and if it warned you long enough so that you CAN get out of it, and happen way less often. At this point I feel like 40% of the time spent in this game is spent in a redzone. They're relentless, they keep spawning all over pochinki and anywhere else I decide to move, I don't even notice them anymore they're just background noise and a random death every 10 games.

It's the single most stupid feature of this game, it makes no fucking sense in its current execution, and even the theory behind it is retarded.

How do I get better at this game? I started out by just dropping in random places and getting killed immediately or at most getting 1 kill per game.

I quickly learned that the best way to secure top 20 is to just go for a car / float far away then loot up some really remote place and approach the circle from the least populated side.

The issue is that there is always someone behind me, there is always some already there in a place I go to. It doesn't matter how hard I hug the circle I always get jumped on by someone.

No matter what I do, what steps I take to prevent it I always end up in a losing situation. That is IF I even get to that situation, usually I just die to someone randomly hanging out in the middle of nowhere waiting just for me to approach or death by some random camper in a shack that has statistically 0% chance to contain anyone because why the fuck would some dipshit sit in a shack that is on the other side of the flightpath with no loot and no purpose?

I'm really lost, its starting to get frustrating to play this game.

Why do streamers always get free kills running literally into their line of fire for no reason yet I go against professional soloq superheroes who are fully loaded and in the middle of every circle before I even find a gun?

Focus on getting better at killing people before you focus on getting chicken dinners. Get into as much combat as possible, every game, always go for the contested hot zones. Once you have combat completely down and you know you can drop people instantly, you then switch to focusing on doing as little fighting as possible so you can actually win.
