Make inheritable daggers that grant huge bonuses against specific types of units (Tomes, Swords, Staves, Horses, ect), but forces disadvantage on them when they fight anything else.
Then, give Daggers exclusively access to abilities that let them ignore damage from units they have advantage against. Like TA but only defensive.

Healers as a class are fine, the problem is that their good skills are all difficult to access and only the Cavalry healers are any good. Give them accessibility and address the Cavalry problems and things should get better.
Oh, and buff the damn Balms. They're all shit when you could have Imbue, Miracle, or Heavenly Light instead. Maybe give them a revive Special with a 10-turn CD or something, but that's just an odd idea.
>Non-Bridelia Bows
Bridelia's stats are just too damn high. She's not gonna get outclassed without a legitimate nerf or just being powercrept. As far as bows in general, the only real solution is to make bows that aren't Brave Bows actually worth playing. Firesweep is okay, but every other bow is garbage by comparison.
>Non-DC Melee Infantry
Give them their own version of the Armor/Cavalry/Flier buffs, but make them different to keep their Jack of All Trades nature. A while back I pitched a few based on swarming that were decently received.

Flat numbers boosts for breathing need to stop being a thing. There needs to be more stuff that actually forces players to employ tactics and have real decisions to make.

That is not a "real" choice. It is a fake choice. You either run the Cav buffs or you're intentionally gimping yourself. There is no advantage to be gleaned from not running them compared to the advantage gained from having them.

First of all, they still lack their own Killer/Slaying, Cav-effective, Armour-effective, Flier-effective, same-colour effective, Firesweep, and Brave variants. Also Watersweep and especially Windsweep should be made more accessible since they are the best users of those skills. Phantom Spd also needs to be released as a skill.

Balms should give +6 to 2 stats instead to encourage people to use non-mounted Healers as they can provide the same buffs as horses. Also them not being able to inherit Cancel Affinity was a misstep as it allows them to truly fulfill their roles as neutral Res tanks.

Cordelia and Bridelia are just too good at their jobs. The former is literally the best offensive Peg Knight without the need to rely on memetic offensive Specials. As for Bows in general, Slaying Bow is a good step in the right direction. They can also function as pretty nice debuffers so they can be build kind of similarly to Dagger users as well.

Firesweep weapons should come soon. Introducing the Firesweep Lance+ and demoting Roderick after his focus banner was a step in the right direction. Mages as a whole need a nerf to make these types of unit better though.

Honestly, I have to say... no, not yet. I think having them drop down to 4* would help players who do need these weapons (and I hear Gray is pretty decent in his own right too). Other anti horse weapons need to exist too, so we need the equivalent Axe, Bow, and I guess Dagger (with the proposed Hunting Knife). Also the proposed anti-Reinhardt Micaiah would also help. Because Reinhardt is the cornerstone of any horse team. Micaiah being green would actually help her fight Cecilia who also shows up on horse teams. She'd be a neutral matchup albeit, but better than if she was blue since she'd be neutral against Reinhardt and potentially lose to Cecilia. While Cecilia's TA Raven set is the easiest to run, the Gronnblade set is actually rather dangerous.

Also consider the fact that it's so easy to make a horse team. Xander, Camus, and Cecilia are free. Camus comes with Goad Cavalry, Gunter comes with Hone Cavalry and he's free, and Berkut comes with Ward Cavalry and he's free. Ursula is also free, and while she's no Reinhardt, she can put the Blarblade to good use. Ursula would also be another unit that the proposed Micaiah could counter too.

Somewhat related: Blues are definitely dominating in the meta. Even among the horses, you have Reinhardt, Olwen, Ursula, and Camus. In infantry, you have Linde, Delthea, and to an extent Ephraim. For fliers, you have Cordelia, and I hear Hinoka's decent. Then there's Effie for armors. I think the introduction of more powerful greens would help balance it out, because maybe six green units that are worth using, whereas I just mentioned at least ten blues that are at the top of their respective classes. Which is yet another reason to make Micaiah green.

Scaled like the Slaying weapons (one less Mt than a Silver+), so we'd skip a Killer Dagger.

>Feather Dagger+: 8 Mt, effective against flying units. Drops the foe's Def/Res by -6 after combat.
>Superior Dagger+: 8 Mt, has an advantage against colorless units. Drops the foe's Def/Res by -6 after combat.

Effectiveness daggers. Two Superior Dagger+ would cancel each other out.

The stat debuff is a bit lower because it can debuff without retaliation.

Mae was my bae in the last Tempest because of the bonus, and mine is a shitty -SPD one. If you keep the owl on her she's a pretty good player-phase unit since position play is key. Not as good as memehardt or Linde in the meta but pretty good to have around as a backup in chain challenges or whatever IMO.

It's far easier to get a good +Spd Palla than a passable +Atk Caeda, though I lucked out and can make use of both. Palla's kit is usuable enough as is(just slap on Darting Blow and Reposition), and the way Ruby Sword works means you can use it just fine even at 4 stars, while Caeda pretty much needs a perfect IV spread and tons of SI to be slightly better.

After that, your choices are 2 blues or 2 greens and one of the other. You'll want at least one tank and one brave weapon user, Cherche and Cordelia are the best for using brave weapons, though Hinoka comes with Hone Fliers so if you have her you might as well use her, Est has high enough attack to make use of one but requires a ton of other SI to be usable. Your tank options are Michalis, Beruka, and Subaki, all of which operate about the same, though Subaki can get QR3 if you rank him up to 5 stars, so if you get a +Atk/-Res one it might be worth considering. Michalis gets a powerful Axe at 5 stars though, and can run Iote's Shield to tank arrows(a major concern on maps where rushing archers is difficult) so he's easily the best choice if not passing that skill to one of the other two.

Without a Camilla B, you probably want another strong offensive unit like Minerva, or you can try Catria/Shanna if you'd rather use another blue or don't have a Minerva. Florina can act as mage bait but isn't good at much else. Clair is like Caeda but in blue, so a lot of the same stuff applies for using her effectively. Camilla is essentially Minerva but worse due to lack of a prf weapon and a poor spread for making use of her base weapon, so making effective use of her can be expensive.

Also keep in mind any blue flier can run a Firesweep Lance, so having a second blue for that may be strongly worth considering to make up for lack of sniping. Catria, Shanna and Clair probably make the best use of that with good speed and passable attack(especially after flier buffs) without a default Brave Lance to make use of.

I think the debuffs for Sting Dagger+ should be bigger as people aren't really incentivized to use Armour-effective weapons, especially when your proposed Barbed Dagger+ has more Mt and a better effect. Also because Armours are fucking giant rocks defensively.

There's 2 dagger types that don't always debuff the guy in front of you: Smoke Dagger only hits the enemies 2 spaces away from the initial target, while Poison Dagger has a weaker debuff than Seal Def and only applies it to infanty. Summer Freddy's Seal Atk/Spd is a better choice anyhow, but that's currently on a limited unit.

Well actually you could run a +Spd blade build on Reinhardt if you were feeling crazy and it would edge out regular dire thunder like being able to kill Julia since blade tomes are broken.
But it's pretty pointless since it defeats the accessibility of Reinhardt and Ursula does it better so only whales would ever do it.

Julia has a niche over Nino in that she can take Blue and Green mages (notably Reinhardt) much better. It's why many places place her on par with Nino or slightly behind at worst. It's hard to directly compare the two because they do different things on a team.

In higher end singleplayer content Julia falls off more than Nino but that's more due to the fucking retarded stats enemies begin getting and the equally fucking retarded power of blade tomes.

Sanaki would have the same argument, but her problem is that a tanky Red mage just isn't good in the current meta, unlike a tanky green one. She doesn't have the Defense to do Raven builds effectively either (seriously Cuckdelia blows right through her regardless of TA).
