Nope, breakers can be used for guaranteed quads but that's it. The only place speed plays a role in when using breakers is when canceling out Wary Fighter or other breakers, you need to be fast enough to be able to double. I have a weird gripe with the newer entries in the franchise and wonder if anyone else felt the same.
I get really bothered how in the 3ds games, (fates and awakening, have yet to play echoes), the approach to story sequences is just the characters dashing into rooms. Room after room. Chapter starts, 3 stand out characters come running into the room, and then stop, because something's fishy. And it's literally the same thing every single time.
Though I'm sure not everyone agrees, I really miss the old approach, where its just a map with the characters progress being narrated. It read like a history textbook or something, it was interesting. As it stands now, it just seems like a bad fanfic.

I got 7 Mathildas before a single Delthea.

Depends on if you think you'll be initiating with her a lot or not.
If you think she'll be defending a lot, Bonfire is better because she'll have it ready for the next battle
If you think she'll initiate combat a lot, Ignis is better because she'll have it on counter when the enemy initiates on her next turn.

If you're still not sure after that, I'd say Bonfire just because it's more common, unless you have a ton of Henrys to sacrifice.
