Can anyone explain to me the "2 support 1 DD" meme.

I mean sure, you can buff up one servant (Jalter/herc/saber lancelot/etc) a lot, but in the end he only has 5 cards out of 15.

And there's also a possibility of getting 2-2-1 rolls, which means no brave chains.

Also casters have only 1 buster card, so buster chains are rare as well.

Let's go with Jannu Horta/Waver/Waver with both supports equipped with 2030 and Jannu with L/ZO.

That's 16 guaranteed stars per turn, 25% buster up and about 1k atk added on average. Jannu has 15+1, 16k, complemented by avenger class modifier 1.1x, so 17.6k atk to all class except 1.5x towards berserker. Assuming you have to set this up, meaning you're up against harder, 300k+ HP bosses.

Jannu's skills alone gains her 50% buster up, 20% atk up and 50% crit damage up. Double waver= double 50% crit up, double 500 added base attack, double 30% atk up. I forgot the base calculation for crit damage but that nets you a damage for a single buster card with crits (she has a heavy crit weight) nets you upwards of 140k+ damage, not counting buster brave chain with her NP or buster first card modifier.

tl;dr supports are broken in this game and buffstacking is the foolproof meme to win.

Battlesuit Mystic Code also allows for triple support, suppose you have a Robin Hood NP5, your supports are Waver/Tamamo and a borrowed Nero Bride.

Poison the boss, buff Robin with Tamamo's arts up and Waver's atk up, change tamamo with Nero Bride and boost his arts and atk further. then NP chain with Robin's NP being the last, you'll see upwards of 400k damage at the very least.

I saw a screenshot of an anon experimenting with these build and a Robin capable of 2.2mil damage on a saber.

tl;dr single target NP and crits has broken damage modifier, buff it up and OHKO everyone. whereas double DPS+1 supp can't do these things.
