You do realize that it's not some technological breakthrough to get that many players on a server, right? Most servers can handle it. He might have to adjust some settings during the first day since everyone will be packed into the starting areas but to assume it's going to fail miserably because 2k people will be logging on is asinine.

He has said in the past its not so much the individual users logging in but the information sent from the created world to the users that causes lag. With the additional instancing from Outlands/Exodar/Silvermoon I think we'll be fine.
