I hate a lot of the music in Persona 5 but I love the atmosphere and theming.
I think the game would have been better off without the yaldy subplot

Nothing, since that was just three of the four options in the game, they just lumped them all in.
AS one of those autists, though, I thought Yukiko was the canon love interest because there's multiple scenes where Yu and Yukiko end up pairing off for something (she does his crossdressing, they walk together after while Chie and Yosuke bitch, that gratitous scene at the start where Chie tries to set you up with the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face, ect), none of which is in YOUR control, or the girl's, which makes it seem like the character themselves made the decision, whereas Rise is up front about how thirsty she is.

This was years ago, mind you, and while Yukiko is my favorite P4 girl, she's not even in the top 5 Persona girls.

I'd put the PT over the IT, but a lot of that comes down to Makoto, Futuba, and the ruse. SEES don't get to flex their intellect in P3 like the other two groups, so I'm not going to compare them.

I think a more interesting question is 'how does each group deal with the other groups' situations?'

This would be a major issue because I believe Teddie is a better navigator naturally than Mitsuru and you have a few dungeons before getting Fuuka this time. The murder mystery itself may be less of an issue ultimately than actually getting party members.

Badly, doubly so if I'm right about my suspicion that Goro was totally not reporting the PT to his dad as soon as he discovered who they were. They're simply too idealistic to fare well against the Conspiracy in my opinion.

One thing I wish P5Ruby/P6 would tackle more is the idea of mutual friends
For example, Irl social links often grow closer when you have a "circle", or when you get close with your friend's friend.
So why then do most social links in the series make the character you're with seem kinda isolated?
Ann and Ryuji are close friends, yet in Ryuji's entire social link you only run into track members and I think Mishima, maybe. I think it'd be interesting if they did something like giving you extra points toward a relationship when you spend time with a friend of theirs, like if spending time with Mishima made Ryuji's next event come sooner.
To me, it'd make the characters feel more real. Like they have their own set of social links, and a life off the camera.
It's just weird that the series only really has seven degrees of separation for any given character, but they rarely use the perks of that.

You actually do hang out with Ryuji in one of Ann's Confidants but yeah, I really liked random events like the one where you go with Mishima to find a weird guy who's totally not Yusuke so it'd be cute to have rank ups come sooner if you have synergy (For example, having Futaba and Yusuke at a certain rank triggers a scene that brings all three closer).

P5 fell a bit because you had things like Ann and Makoto making up to each other yet they don't hang out, I really think P3 was the best with SEES members bonding with others in the group. I also want Goro to be able to bond with the PT more, there's a cute anthology story where Ryuji rescues him from his fangirls and says that even though he doesn't like him he can't stand to see someone so lonely.

It's a case where the actual person enters their own Palace which is already bizarre in itself but what's even weirder is that Futaba is her own Treasure, so doesn't that mean the Treasure was actually outside the Palace and thus the calling card was what drew her in?

I'm going to have to disagree with that. I think P4 had the best group bonding and I say this despite hating most of the group. They played of each other nicely like they were a disfunctional family of sorts. I cant remember if Ken and Mitsuru ever even talked to each other in P3. Granted, the reason the interactions in P4 were nice was because they had way more moments where they fucked around as friends than SEES did
