Despite the rest of the app being shitty, SplatNet2 really does offer some great info. Winrates for stages, modes and stages per mode is really great. The Annie shop is pretty cool too. And the longterm rotation schedule is super convenient. Anyone else surprised that League Mode has its own rotation? It's odd that they are splitting up league play from regular ranked. That may make finding a match pretty hard, especially in the early days of the game, when most people haven't reached B- yet.

The solo queue was always available but you need to buy tickets to play the Mann Up version that guarantees a reward at the end and you have to complete several sets of waves (or missions) to complete a "Tour of Duty" that gives a chance for the rarest rewards. All of which had to be in Mann Up mode, so you had to buy more tickets. And there was also another voucher you could buy (again, with real money) that guaranteed another reward.

But yeah, the public queue was always available. Making the last Splatfest Pearl vs Marina seems too expected and similar to the first game, for the last one to end in Inklings (headed by Pearl) vs Octolings (headed by Marina) would be really cool. If you select team Octoling/Marina, you play as an Octoling for the whole duration of the Splatfest, while everyone on Inkling/Pearl obviously stays an Inkling. No matter who wins, they get over the beef at the end and it concludes with the addition of Octolings becoming part of the regular in-game selection.
