Yes to all of that. Some are calling it Splatoon 1.5, but if we're gonna be realistic, it has more than enough to justify a sequel. It also looks noticeably nicer on the Switch than it did on the Wii U.

The problem is, if I'm reading right, that just straight up combining two audio outputs like that can possibly damage your equipment. At least, according to Some Dude on the Internet. You might need a passive audio mixer, but those run about 20 bucks, nothing for under 10 dollars.

I work graveyard shift and have the ability to play my switch regularly without wifi.

what you want is called a 3.5mm 4pole splitter, 2male 1 female. 4 pole plugs dont always get along with 3pole jacks so you might have to short one side.

I mean you can use them for trickshoting, but mostly they're used to forge a path forward as you just swim along the train it leaves for easy mobility. Worse case you can probably do something like a double dodge, throw out a curler and run away off of it if you're in a bad spot, or use it to get in on enemy territory and roll towards where they move away from it.

I'd be worried about the Splatoon reviews if we weren't getting another fuckload of DLC like last game, but considering last time it was basically a different game by the time all the content was out, I'm not worried.

Ink jet gets some really easy kills if you're good at aiming. Sadly the best example I can think of is landing a missile with Pharah in overwatch. Only issue is that you're a big target up there, but I can imagine having a ink armor on your team can be a nice team combo.
It's probably the best set for dualies it looks. The standard is fine and missiles are nice cover fire, and the radar suction launcher just feels like a support set. Curling and ink jet seem to be a very gung ho solo set, so I like the idea of it.

ARMS got around 70 and the online is still wide and kicking. Regardless of what reviews state, It's a massively popular multiplayer game on a system with very few online games to choose from at the moment. Anyone who has a switch will be aiming to play it, and if anyone was on the fence about getting one for splatoon, they would've know what they're getting since splatoon 1 came out.
No one was going into this thinking it'd be a 100% new game, so don't take /v/'s review reactions to heart. They just needed a spark to start the shitposting.

Splatoon 2 is about what I expected. That said, I want them to give Splatoon 3 an extra 2 years of dev time and really blow everyone away. They can get away with this Call of Duty-esque update, but I feel continuing this 2-year cycle will hurt the franchise. It will ALWAYS sell well because it's an addictive and well made game, but I don't want them falling into a rut. Add in playable octolings. Hell add in other races or types of squid that have different stats. Make the singleplayer 10+ hours long. Add in plenty of new weapon types (Splatoon 2 only has the dualies. The umbrella will be added post-launch).

I feel if the Wii U wasn't such a bomb and they weren't desperate for games during the Switch's launch year they would have given this game another year in the pot, but Nintdo was desperate for a surefire hit so they gave the developers a short window.

TL;DR, excited for Splatoon 2, but I want Splatoon 3 to blow me the fuck away.

Kraken is the only one that was justified to remove (and that's only really for TC, it was perfectly balanced in Zones and RM). There is literally nothing wrong with Bubble, it encouraged actual coordination and was on weapons with short range and took knockback which you could easily exploit. The others aren't even panic button so I don't know why you listed them, the time it takes to do one inkzooka shot after activating it is longer than most weapons' TTK.
