It's more of Rance is just so content and carefree that he doesn't get Soul Pollution. If I remember correctly, in Quest, it's said that he has quite a high Soul Pollution after Sill's is frozen because he became a lot more grumpy and irritable.

In all seriousness, above all else you're striking me as hilariously inefficient. Even with your lack of conquest considered it's hard to see how you've got so little SAT, particularly given your clear usage of dungeons. Although I've not bothered to run the numbers.

It's more the fact that you've got it on Rance. For various reasons the priority for Rance should be his stats, these reasons include boss fights, his 1 vs 1s, and the potential for making him an awesome unit by exploiting the elite troops SAT Bonus.

Rance's default is 5/4/5/4, boostable to 6/6/6/6 via perfect luck with books. Natori makes that a 6/6/6/7 and I can only presume that his Cost won't go up if you make that 7/7/7/7 (I've got no clue what the mechanics of that actually are) by dumping a bunch of affection items on him. Elite Troops then makes this 8/8/8/8 and the 2nd Game Bonus textbooks make that 9/9/9/9, although that doesn't explain his Cost being 4.

Unlike in 5S, units such as warriors and generics can still have a place in the meta, which makes for a more flexible gameplay.

It is still quite challenging, though. Tanegashima was a 2000 musket unit and nearly one-shotted my 9 DEF 1000+ troop footman.

There is some time limits. Like the Dokutsu events unfold at a certain pace, so if you want to save Retia you need to do Donitz events before then. Or reach a system next to a Dokutsu system to unlock the Idol Retia route.

Also you need to conquer a certain amount of areas before turn 30 or so to trigger the Mongols Rance which is needed for some events and true route (if I remember correctly you need to trigger it to get the event that let you attack Gamerica by the route that don't trigger the CORE, only way to get some of the Gamerica characters). Also there is at least one more, as you're attacking Britain you get a quest to reach another star system in a certain number of turns after it starts.

But there are many points where you can just pass turns at your leisure, if you want to focus on doing characters events, for example.

Overall it's a good game. Far from the best thing Alicesoft's put out, but enjoyable enough to hold my interest for a good while.

Gameplay is very similar to Pastel Chime Continue if you've ever played it. It's a solid combination of randomized dungeon crawling and turn-based combat, but nothing to write home about.

The highlight of the game are definitely the characters. The main cast is very good, both the girls and the guys. The girls were all interesting enough for me to want to play the game multiple times to see each of their routes, and the guys were all well-integrated into the plot in a way that made them seem necessary. Several of the villains are pretty interesting too. My only complaints are that the protag is a bit dull and there aren't enough characters outside of the main group.

Onigiri-kun goes about how the CG variations are made of using one sample CG. Then HIRO shows the director work for the scene of that same CG. I want to translate Daiakuji, 01, 03, IX, and even X when it comes out but I will need hired help.

Namely
1. is this something you even want
2. what would you want to see first (for example a demo, some sort of blogshit, etc.).
3. is bitcoin a medium you are willing and able to use
4. which game(s) would you want to see done first

The general agreement here is that Daiakuji will never be translated and that MG won't get a license for IX for at least many years (to say nothing of X).

There's also the matter of the one guy who posted that MG still does not have a license for Quest so who knows if there ever will be more Rance games. Rance VI is always near the top of the ranking list but we've seen first hand that this does not necessarily indicate there will be more rance games translated.

If there is interest, I will put in 500 usd/mo of my own money and time. I'm looking for two hannies to match me, for a total of 1000 usd/mo.

Any of the mentioned eroge as a first choice are fine by me, although I would prefer 01 for reasons of compactness..
