I just finished the second last chapter of the current story event in BE and damn, why can't the actual main story be this good? The last cutscene in A Friendly Oath actually got me kind of emotional. I hope they keep churning these things out on a fairly regular basis, they're probably my favorite part of the game.

Yes, the starter jobs are total shit and you should graduate to a real job ASAP. Do the Novice's Hall until you get six tickets and choose an option depending on how much patience you have:

Pull from the Job Summon banner until you get Dancer, Dragoon, Occultist, Berserker or Paladin. Dancer would be the best pull.

Or, if you have the patience of a saint, you could pull from the Greater Ability Summon banner until you get a legend job like Judge, S1C or Mythic Knight. This will take forever and will not be fun.

The abilities you need to go for will vary by what job you get. Get a good job and then report back and I'll give you some specific recommendations.

Get the dark mandragora card.

To get a good score you have to know how the score multiplier for attacks work.
There's one for using weakness element,
one for amount of damage, one for criticals,
one for damage dealt while broken, and one for the damage deal that broke the enemy.
Pretty sure there's more but those are the one that you should focus on.
Anways, the one for damage dealt that breaks is the most important as it has a 40x multiplier. That is why Samurais are preferred because of their high damage deal by their ultimate.
Others work too but you have to make sure it only deals a single strike or that the strike that breaks the enemy is the highest damage dealing one so that it breaks the enemy and kills it at the same time.
Pair it with berserk, en-element enhancing your weapon to enemy's weakness and so forth and you can get over 10M easy.

Yes but bosses in the game have dumb amounts of physical defense so you'll most likely do literally no damage with physical attacks with the early game weapons, so the best solution is using fists in the early game because they don't rely on the weapon
